If so why ? Surely your views haven't changed overnight and you still think all people that enjoy
Boxing also enjoy watching Horses rip into each other....
No SJABC, I didn't change the original post.
I also didn't say what I have highlighted in your post quoted above.
I started out talking about those who like to see people
fighting, not boxing, and, Wedgie, I agree my first comment was a bit imprecise. I hadn't been careful as I didn't really expect anyone would seriously disagree with my speculation... I was puzzled by the reaction, but, in retrospect, from SJABC's post quoted above, it appears it may be that it was misread by several as a reference to boxing from the outset.
Perhaps some saw what they expected I would say?
Boxing got a mention later, and I took it up as a broadening of the issue.
However, fighting and boxing are closely related, boxing being a formularised form of fighting with some limitations set to try to control serious damage, not always successfully.
I tried to be more specific later in the context of the broadened issue.
People who enjoy boxing are more likely to enjoy other violent sport, although each will draw their own line along the continuum..
Personally I am not very fond of US style wrestling either as it tends to glorify violence by exaggerating it in fake form, though in secondary school I did some training in classical Greco-Roman Wrestling, which is less damaging, and controls harm better than boxing, more like Judo.
