I reckon Two Wells might do alright, but Virginia will struggle again. The Rams were being talked them up this time last year and they fell in a heap.

Two Wells fell in a heap too, they looked like world beaters early but faded badly. They were not far away though in a lot of those last games. I reckon given they now have another year under the belt of the young brigade, they will tough to beat this year. Is Watts playing on Rooster?

No i reckon the old bloke is finished, in the end i think he got fed up with chasing some of your blokes around and spat the chewy!!

Yeah, nah i think you'd find he's put his A-Grade jumper in the shed and will help Fitzy out to do whatever it takes to get the Roosters some silverware.

PS: Anyone interested in a second hand pair of red shorts size 42!!!! oh and a pair of goofy looking white bike shorts??

How much you want for them Rooster? Might fit the Jumbo .....

Yea - Wattsy played his last A grade game against Mallala and you've read the rest above. Will be a valuable assett in helping the young ruckmen (6' 8" guy) and the many other youngsters in the squad.

Thought you still had a couple of years left in the magoos Rooster.. think they could do with a big fella in the goal square especially if J.Anthony is playing A grade all year next year which i have heard on here... Don`t put those shorts on Ebay yet i wouldnt think...

That's very kind of you to say KO, but i'm not sure if watched many of my efforts last season? The main problem is the "Big fella" in the goal square is getting bigger and the goal square seems to be getting smaller, if you get my meaning!!

The Reality is that i may from time to time, lob up in the magoo's to make a nuisance of myself, but i wouldn't suggest that i would be a regular starter, Shaunie Nic won the B's Assoc and club best's at the ripe old age of 36 last year, but that bloke is a fitness freak!! and anyone who knows me knows that is one thing i am not!!

Ps: just a word for anyone thinking about playing in our comp regarding this bloke or that bloke coming to our club or any other club, if you are playing in the APFL the one thing that you must understand firstly, is that we take our footy pretty seriously and the blokes who play every week throw their all into it. It is a high standard, very Physical competition and the list of blokes who come from the SAAFL and don't fire a shot is long. there was a discussion on this forum a short time ago about the best ten or so players from the last decade, These guys are genuine guns and are all good people who commit to their clubs and deserve to be talked about years after they have retired, the rest of us talk about them because they have done it and we acknowledge it, it is all well and good to "pump up your own tires" lord knows i was one of the worst, but be warned that folks in this league don't give a fat rat's tossbag where your from or what you've done, you get respect in this league by getting it done on the park and respecting your club. After that at the end of the year, you won't need to talk about yourself, other's will and maybe you might be in a list of your own in the future!!

No takers on the short's apart from a guy who wanted a cover for his motorcycle!! He can F$%k off!!

very well pointed out Rooster, it`s very hard to make comparisons from APFL to other leagues.but what i will say it always looks a hello of a lot easier from the sidelines in any league. Many players come and watch a game of APFL and say i would dominate in this com. But how many of them actually do or would?
++ Are you going to have a role off the field in the A grade next year? ++
Just play 6 or 7 games in the magoos would be enough to qualify i think they will be up there again next year they have some good young talent..

And still no new signings in the league?
Are we heading for no changes to line ups for next year or are there still plenty of discussions happening?
Very quiet on the boozehound and shrek front is it?

what an article by rooster!! fantastic!!

He was talking about SAAFL, but...

AFL
You could say that Ricky O, ? Bond had little impact.
Cockatoo collins has been serviceable but didnt tear the league apart
Think healy may have pulled the boots on for a game or two last year & dont think he dominated either

SANFL
Early has been good but not dominating - could be due to quality side though!
Graham in same boat as CCC

Above are names just from the last year or two

i think most clube would have some sort of run before xmas maybe mid december just to get the group together and meet the new players (if any)...There are a couple of teams that arent far off a big year just lack maybe 3-4 experienced players which i think they may be getting.

Come on guys dont take yourselves so seriously. Which league in SA doen't take their footy seriously. We all have our little bias' based on where we have played and our own personal opinion, however it is obvious that div one and two in the SAAFL is a higher standard than the country leagues. The fact that SAAFL blokes have come out and not "fired a shot" may have a lot to do with the fact that they come out there and train once a week because of the travel. Obviously this has a massive impact on their footy. Not to mention the fact that a lot of country clubs make imports feel like theives adding to the pressure to perform. I haven't seen much APFL footy but it would NOT be higher than div 3 standard. Country footy has such a great atmosphere, particularly for families but I reckon it's the country attitude displayed in your post Rooster that stops some from enjoying it....(I am referring to the we dont care who you are or where you come from bizzo). always such a "us a against everyone vibe" in these leagues.

At the end of the day a player moving to a new league should have respect for the league and the opposition and of course for the club he is representing but come on jump off the soap box big fella...
Harsh but fair.....

The other thing is, div 1 and 2 teams have fringe players too. Just because they have played at a bit higher level doesn't mean they are going to be stars.
