Why? The fat bastard barely got a run against the NSW 2nd XI two weeks ago (failed in the first dig and made 40 odd in the second when fatigued obviously set in and he got again - as per last year)

He shouldn't be picked until he shows he can bat for long innings (i.e. is fit)

Cullen needs to perform, Bailey took in 4 in grade cricket yesterday. If one of them can have a good season higher honours might be on the cards. Lets hope so.

Perhaps both could play at the expense of guys who are not good enough. Plant (seriously the guy is not up to it) and Cullen. Manou should not be batting at 6. Cullen can't bowl and is wasting a spot. We need to add a batsman to our lineup and we certainly won't miss the 0/111 that Cullen offered this game.

Looks good and would shore up the batting
But only the 4 bowlers would hinder our ability to bowl sides out
TAIT is better used in short spells as well
So Wise/Cleary/Obrien would have to bowl plenty of overs [and tire]
Also Obrien is not a front line bowler

But also would like the selectors to perservere with him for at least another 2-3 games
You cant discard guys after 2 games, its a bit unfair

Less than 5 games ago Plant scored a ton agaisnt Kanira, Murali and Malinga.

I'd be giving him another go or two but he needs to make runs.

When Cosgrove can demosntrate he can bat for more than two sessions consistantly at grade level, pick him.

Why have a different criteria for Cosgrove than everyone else? The guys currently in the side have not proven they can bat for long periods and make runs so why do they get picked? We all know how talented Cosgrove is and we need to get him in the side to give us the best possible chance of making a defendable total.

MAte, becuase if Cosgrove bats for two sessions in grade cricket he will have the runs to back up his selection.

The talent/ability is not in question here but for two years his weakness has been fatigue caused by poor fitness which means he bats for approxiamtely one session then makes a mistake and gets out due to poor concentration.

He corrects his fitness/fatigue issues he will not only play for SA higher honours beckon.

Batting for two sessiosn in a grade cricket for him is a process goal to allow him to to achieve an outcome goal of runs. Runs = selection.

No question he is the most talented cricketer in the state but because of his lack of fitness he isn't in the top 12 cricketers in the state (IMO).

Get fit prove he can bat for long periods and the runs/selection issue will take care of itself.
