uni, angle vale, st pauls, houghton, nth pines, mitchell pk so far.....still will be interesting whether the other c and d grade sides remain .athelstone shoc and smosh......brahma lodge should be staying in div 6.......so now would prob be good to start up maybe div 8 8res again.......ttg , modbury, gg ,athelstone, shoc, henley, smosh, adel uni mitcham and im sure ive missed a c and d grade team or two so this makes 8 to 10...sounds perfect and should be no rumblings as most of these sides are pretty competetive and are ALL C AND D GRADES,

I don't think I would've said that either, Undertaker. Quit playing games GTB or I'll have to reveal the shortlist of clubs you're looking to play at next year

Love playing Houghton and had some crackers against them in the past. Should be an interesting year

Spending what on what exactly? The only money being spent is on the current playing group. A couple of sponsors have been approached and next year the best player awards for both grades will be significantly increased and the A Grade players will be rewarded for every win. Nice try though.

B Grade were just the best of a an ordinary bottom five. Hopefully with a new coach we can get a bit more commitment out of them and have blokes actually wanting to step up to A Grade.

I have no idea about new recruits. There's talk of a couple of guys bringing some mates out who are handy players (isn't there always though  ), but firstly it'll be important just to keep last year's group together.

stuffed up in the finals.
At the same time we came up against good opponents in Blackfriars and Colonel Light Gardens. The comp last year wasn't as good I thought, but we didnt have the same cattle as previous years. I think Houghton will be competitive, especially if they are spending as much as their players were saying a few weeks ago!

But who can you blame Coaches? Players? Umpiries?

Anyway for those 2 years we probaly had the 2nd best team and couldnt get it right when it came to finals.........

Blame the coach cos he said to do everything differant to what we done all year didnt he?
dont blame the players cos the coaches get the ball and kick all the goals all on there own dont they?

uni has had their c grade, like henley in div 7 and div 6 the last few years - generally competitive unless you count the aberrrant 2006 season. the e grade has won the flag in div 8 and c1 the last three years. are you sugggesting that uni would then slide into the remnant grades - eg c2 to c5? not be sarcastic just curious - i'm sure henley would like the almost guaranteed flag given their performance last year.

i can see that the other sides would have a good competition though but personally i like the reflection of the upper grades in the c competition.
always forgive your enemies...nothing annoys them so much

Big coin?! You are kidding aren't you?

Mate, the club hasn't got the funds to offer anyone big coin. Could maybe offer a couple of blokes fifty bucks a game, maybe up to a hundred, but we chose to look into rewarding the entire playing group as I have stated above.

I have personally analysed all financial records and it's not possible to go beyond what has been put in place. The only likelihood that blokes will be individually paid next year is if new or existing sponsors put their hand up to specifically finance such a situation.

I know of three or four players who have been approached, but they have not asked for money and neither have they been offered it.

Never said there was anything wrong with the coach, just that they were the best of an ordinary bottom five, really struggled against the top five, but that's more a symptom of a lack of depth.

Pretty ordinary of you to come out and say Rexy is a joke. The man knows how to have a good time, but when it comes to football and coaching he is switched on and goes about his job seriously. Will have the respect of all the lads next year and should get them committed to being on the track.

I've heard otherwise Quichey (as i said earlier someone has approached one of my players and a good mate of mine) we may have to agree to disagree
