Yeah thats his brother, bit of a cowboy with the bat. He had a couple of years off because of work and things, but is good to hav another quickish bowler back especially with no ferry this year.

Plymptons oval un-usable? Trying to change grounds mid-game?

What a farce, you can't change grounds mid-game. It's bad enough that teams get the councils to mow/not mow the ovals during week.

Granted its not Plympton's fault but the game has to be abandoned, or turned into a 1 dayer.

That doesnt really make sense to me, why would Plympton wana change when they have north haven on the ropes with a score of 313, probably more runs then theyll make all year! but i agree definitely cant change grounds mid way through the game! and western youth got stitched up with sheidows oval but its cricket, a game get on with it!

The ground has been covered in 3 inches of dirt... its been top dressed all over. Can't be used. Like I said, not Plymptons fault, but you cant changes grounds during a game.

Play it on a ground North Haven choose if one's available.

Ramblers played away from home this week as our new matting was going down mid-week. I guess if Plympton knew they would have done the same.

Did the council give plympton prior notice that this was going to happen? If yes plympton should have moved the game before the first days play. If no then the council should be shot.

Our D Grade round 2 game had to be moved because the school that we use had to be closed to the public for 2 weekends to remove asbestos so with the help of the association we found another ground well in advance.

Looks like a one dayer should be played this week to keep things fair.

Ah well thats a different story, covered in 3 inches of dirt probably means the game has to be moved grounds or to a one dayer! Whichever way it is, its plymptons ground and i guess atleast there not the team gaining from it. North haven will have a positive view on it as they were probably out the hunt chasing 313 on most occasions. Will be interested to hear wat the outcome is?

If the game can't be played at the oval it was started on then Plympton should be forced to forfeit, unless Nth Haven agree to play a one dayer at a mutually agreed oval. I find it a little hard to believe that they had no prior knowledge of the oval being top dressed, maybe true but i doubt it. I am sure it was them or the football club that had at some stage asked for it to be done. It will be interesting to see what decision will be made and who gets to make it, Nth Haven or the Association.

The association has told both sides to go to plympton oval and the umpire will decide if the ground is fit to play. If not a draw is the result.

Roocke did bat really well, got all his runs in the last 15 overs and well supported by Miller. Great captains knock.

Was a shame about the poor umpiring display which saw Roocke's partner half way down the wicket given not out after a direct hit.

Sheidow Pk passed our score 8 down and ended up 9 for 110(approx). poor fielding probably cost WYC the win. Harvey made about 35 and got dropped on 5 and that made the difference. A very poor umpiring display as well which we were probably on the good end of but it was ordinary both ways thats for sure.

Ramblers a massive outright win today. Coromandel a very ordinary display, no-one stepping up to tough it out. Good effort from the boys all round, no-one starring, just a good team effort.

Very interesting result for Sheidow, nearly collapsing. Good to see. Few of those boys very confident coming up from Section 2.

Plympton versus North Haven was a draw, Umpire deemed it dangerous for the fielding side
