Manou is really showing improvement with his batting. If he can keep up this he might be a contender for Haddin's place in the national team down the track.

Problem is our bowlers and wicketkeeper should rarely be the highest scorers, not usually!

Manou has done an excellent job. Mature innings when it was really needed. Shame he couldn't turn it into a ton but he got us over the 300 mark which is crucial. O'Brien has done a great job as well. Just lost Cleary for 16. Need the last 3 to hang around with O'Brien as long as possible and hopefully we can push past 350.

Good effort by the Redbacks to reach a decent total after looking pretty shaky at one stage.

SA 313 all out

Wise out first ball. Sigh.

Did so much hard work to get in a reasonable position then lose our last 4 wickets for 5 runs. Honestly it is just so frustrating. We really needed at least one of the guys who got going to make a big hundred but it didn't happen. 3 guys get out in the 40's, one guy makes 80 and another 63. You need one of those guys to go on with it but alas this is SA and as sad as it is most of us would have taken 313 at the start of the day if we were offered it.

not as stupid as it sounds NFC, Choc only needs to continue to build scores of 50 plus and he could easily fill the void if Haddin is unable to play for what ever reason.

on Manou's innings a real captains knock this afternoon at 5 for 164 the sixth wicket partnership was crucial to getting the total above 300. If it failed then we would have limped to a low to mid 200 score once again giving our bowlers nothing to work with on a flat track.

he is. I got the feeling he couldn't bat when I saw that he is behind Tait then raised my suspicions the way he walked to the wicket :? and confirmed it when he nicked it 1st rock.

Tait - 2 half centuries at 1st class level, and a top score of 68. He's laughing at you.
