The VHFC is proud to announce our new
coach for the next two season, Luke Ellis.
Luke has been involved as a player at
SANFL level and in the Western Border
League where he played for Penola and
West Gambier Football Clubs. His
enthusiasm and knowledge for the game
will put the club in good hands for the
coming years.

Will come at a cost
Was on over $1,0000 a game at West Gambier pus flights and accomodation
We all know how much players get in Canberra.

However the bloke can play Footy. If he stays fit will win the Mail Medal!!!!!!!!!!
Will win games off his own boot.
What about his brother from South adelaide?

A little over-excited Magoo. Luke certainly can play tho! Would be as good as Hodgey!

Well done to VH, should be able to recruit and bolster Victors side. They need to keep what they have and continue to build on it with some quality. Cant keep relying on Brown and Levy!!!

Heard the same about Simmo. As Hollywood Tom would say hes a glutton for punishment.

The Creeks impressed me this year tho. The amount of players they lost and to still make a prelim shows how good their 2007 side was and how good Mick is as a coach to bring that side to 3rd place. With some solid recruiting and to retain their players (which is a common theme in my posts i know) they will be around the mark again. Will Randall and Tim go around again?? Big Matty James had basically retired at the start of the 08 season so i reckon he might be done.

Better not stalk him too closely magoo, would ur current bf like that?
Portlock is finished so i wouldnt worry too much about him or the size of his shorts!

Levy has a super footy brain from my dealings with him. Would be a great assistant to Luke!

Sounds good Magoo pheraps encounter Bay can move the Bluff to the south western end of their oval to act as a wind break and so Shane Mitchell can stand on it so he is the same height as the players he is coaching kill 2 birds with one stone,Yankalilla can drag kangaroo Island to Yank so they can use a few players from there and also dont have to pay for the dearest ferry ride in the world.

Portlock finished at the Deamons or footy all together BJ?
Creek will find it hard to gain the recruits for next season as they will need to re-build a little and the points system will prevent them doing this in one season. With Todd Deletore moved due to work and Nick Warren due to start teaching next year he could be on the move if posted to a regional destination.

No movement from Portlock.

Demons will roll out almost the exact same side. Couple of players have contacted the club to come and play for us, im hopeful the club recruits a couple more quality players and there are a couple that are retiring. Will basically balance out.

I have no idea who we are losing, keeping or who we are going after Jelom. Our biggest task is to get local guys out and committed. We had 76 different players take to the field in the A's and B's this year (not counting colts). That is a ridiculous stat. Cant tell me you cant find 2 handy teams amongst that many players. But there will be a new president at The Saints and some new blood on the committee who have some good ideas.

LF what ever happened to the bloke called Moffatt that won the B grade mail medal in about 2005 for you guys I know he was a keen surfer but had a good leap and took some handy marks is he still living in the area also has Greg Bald got a role at the club next year

He is exactly the sort of bloke that needs to be playing. He now runs "Longman Sushi" over at Port Elliot (FREE PLUG MOFF!!!!), its great sushi which certainly tops off 3 pies from the bakery around the corner. Probably too busy with work but certainly had some raw talent.

Big call there Magoo. Id take any of those Willunga on ballers over Elli$, at least they drink. Dont get me wrong he can play but being a playing coach will be much more difficult.

Any truth to the rumour Max McCardle is pulling on the boots again for Goolwa?
Said to have given up on the pro golfing and ready to have a run again, also rumoured he is bringing a few other guys who are in the same boat - Matt Butler, Brad Thompson - two players with silky skills who played out at South Adelaide as youngsters.
