I feel absolutely disgusted watching that display in the last few minutes. Seeing Zidane getting sent off by a dirty setup by those Eye Ties. They had to racially abuse him just to get an advantage and using tactics like that makes me not want to watch the beautiful game. Just like they had to dive to get a penalty against us. And Fifa has these slogans like fifa fair play and say no to racism. Italy have just gone the absolute wrong way and cheat their way to win.

Don't be a sore loser mate ... Yes they take their diving further than other teams (and outside of the spirit of the game IMHO), but what penalties do FIFA have in place (or enforce) to discourage or prevent them from doing so?? This is where the problem lies!

Zidane I would imagine, had been provoked one way or another, but it's clear for all to see he shoved his head into Materazzi's chest and was justly given his marching orders for doing so, in accordance with the rules ... The Italians don't play the aesthetically pleasing style of many other countries, but they are unquestionably talented.

Only let one goal in for the entire World Cup and that came in the final.

Gotta gve credit where it's due.

Still, I hate the fact that finals are decided by penalties.

Not just talking about the World Cup either - was very disappointed when the FA decided that the FA Cup would go penalties if needed.

Arsenal v Man U FA Cup Final a few years back was a much bigger travesty of justice.

Play extra-time, then golden goal, then if need be - a replay.

well given the french penalty was up there with the biggest dives in the tournament I think its a just result
