ACB have taken over scores and all club details from SACA. All results are in but it is taking a few clubs a while to get players in the database etc. (ramblers finally achieved this today)

Agree the Keswick keeper probably deserved 4 votes. Colo deserved 4 or 5. Keeping cleanly up at the stumps to the medium pacers does put you a step ahead of most others. Keswick had it setup at drinks at 2/90, but unfortunately played for spin when they faced Calderbank after drinks. Calderbank 8 overs, 3/8.

Nah AF it is where he will be spending all of 2008/09 he says he isn't up to 75 overs anymore and it isn't a bad thing for the club as we give a young guy a go in the A's and he helps the b grade out.

How old is Kingy? Not as old as pressy i bet. Big loss if not in As. Always made runs against us, never one to be controlled.

Russell would be about 36 or 37, he is a great guy and is a good batsman, i played with him at Unley C.C. and played football with him at Kenilworth.

He turns 35 in January.

Ive taken on the Role this year of entering the Stats in for Sheidow Park and must admit at first the MyCricket website was very confusing. Took a few solid days to get all player database and general browsing of the website down pat but have found it to be a very good site after the clinks.

The reason im posting is has have any clubs created their own fantasy league on the club link? Ive discovered it today and set the wheel in motion to get as many people involved as possible and alot of people already are excited about it.

For those how dont know its just like AFL Dream team (Sorry for those that dont know what that is :) ) Ive given people at our club a 1 million salary that they then need to pick a side of 11 within that salary cap. Players have been manually (headaches :) ) priced by ability and what grade they play and their all grouped by Batsmen, bowlers, keepers, and All Rounders with limits of these catogories to everyones side.

I'll talk it up but with some help (Sarge) we've got our clubs set up really well with each team needing a few "Premium" players and a good mix of middle ranged players and the cheap diamond (young blokes looking for a good yr in higher grades, or new/injuried players returning to the club) It will be great to have everyone so keen as to see how his players have gone weither they be in A grade or F grade and a few braging rights for the top coach or highest scoring players plus we'll be posting ladders and teams of the week on our noticeboard too.

Fantastic idea and alot of blokes love it for the fact it's everyone at the club involved but it's really worth the extra effort for anyone interested in getting one started at their club. Sorry bout the long rant but im really excited about this feature and wouldnt mind hearing others thoughts on it?

to start it you need to be logged in as a club Admin for the site. If you are then go to the "Club" link on the top tool bar and a window will scroll down at the very bottom is "fantasy league" link and the neccasary links are there read the "about fantasy league" that will have all the required instructions to get it all started good Luck with it (and my directions) im sorry im generally shocking with computer stuff if you cant find it you should be alright though

What are peoples tips for the games this week?
- Sheidow Park v Western Youth
- Plympton v North Haven
- Glenelg v Westminster
- Coro Ramblers v Coromandel
- South Road v Keswick
- Mitchell Park v ICC Sharks

I believe it will be Western Youth, North Haven, Westminster (could go close to outright even tho outrights are hard to get in the early rounds), ramblers, South road and mitchell park...
mitchell park even tho got smashed first round, they beat icc in the last game of last year, and icc have lost the batting depth! Both sides are vulnerable in the batting department!

Also after round one, who are the players to watch?

and for mine the players to watch would be Richard Press (is he back to his best after a modest year last year for his terms?) Damian Quirk would be the young gun along with Sarge and Fordy from Sheidow Park! There the four batters that i believe are the ones to watch in Section 1!
The bowlers would be Drenthen (can he back it up), Hopkins (can he captain and bowl well), Noack from North Haven as there is no Tam no more, and Sam Cheek who should back up last year with 30 odd wickets this year!

Same tips for me except Westminster over Glenelg. WYCbloods...either you know something about Glenelg we don't or your on another planet there?

Very interested to see results of Sheidow vs Western Youth. If they win this one they will have two big scalps to thier name early on.

Daniel Rowe will clean them up i think AF that is my guess. It will be a 4 innings game though i think with the bowling being the strength of both sides.

Jokes aside, Ramblers off to good start, albeit against two of the weaker sides in the comp I think we will find. Bowled Coro out for 86 today and are 3/50 odd at end of day. Slow oval so scoring low. Our 2s have already knocked off north haven.....things not looking strong at Nth Haven early?? Plympton knocking up over 300 against them today. ICC belting Mitchell Pk all over the shop too. Maybe there wil be 5 or 6 good sides and 6 ordinary sides this year?

A Good effort from our boys today bowling Western Youth out for 99 and being 2/53 in reply. Slow at our ground too. Hopefully we can knock off the last 47 runs next week.

Yeah sure was Sarge. You guys had a good day in the field as well as bowling well and we batted very poorly on what was a very slow ground. I think we can write this one off and hope we don't play the same again at any stage this year.

A good day for you guys there AF. What has happened to Mitchell Pk? They were talking themselves up with all the recruits they have got and first game they get rolled for 60 and now they are chasing 300. Maybe the recruits aren't as good as what they thought they were.

Yer he batted really smart, pretty much helped set it up for Russell to have a slap. Drew? Whenan really needs to work on his sledging tho. I told him he wouldnt have to swing so hard if he had a decent bat and his retort was 'get a new face'.

Congrats to Rusty Curyer on his maiden ton for Keswick, 130+ no. against South Road.
