Shirtfront: We would certainly welcome Wicksy at Gepps, but no one from the heartless crew you had at Broadview this year. By the way where's FOOTYNUT?

Mate the bloke has more heart in his pinkie that you must have to make that comment. For a bloke his size he mizes it in league footy and doesn't shirk the issue at all.

And before you think i am jumping to the defence of a mate, think again, I barely know the bloke.

Yeah terrible comment! Totally agree with you boozehound!

From playing against him it is clear he isn't the toughest player on the ground, a very good reciever though. I have seen him take a pretty hard hit and get up straight away.

Well, he is built like a pin  Definitely got heart though.

Gepps and Salisbury Nth definitely made offers to him. A few country clubs too. But looks like he will stay with Gullies, although not signed and sealed yet.

Gepps and Salisbury Nth definitely made offers to him.

I would be interested to speak with the person who made the offer, now that would be interesting. As I said on a previous post, it hasn't happened and isn't likely to.

"He hasnt made up his mind and wont until the new sturt coach is announced and he has a chat with him to see what his thoughts are"

"If he is no longer needed at Sturt he will then either play for TTG or Houghton(with his brother)"

Ease up fella, so you at Gepps wouldn't target our players cos we are 'Heartless', well smart ass, why not ask the coach or your recruitng people how much they offered Casey, Stevens and co for a transfer to your club before the start of last year and again at the end of the season. Not that they are interested when clowns like you are rambling on about us. As for Footynut, i don't know where he is, maybe you should pm him if you miss him that much???

Shirtfront, I can only speak from my side of the fence and unless this happened unknown to me (in which case it would be unofficial), no offers put to any Broadview players to my knowledge.

That's crap aceman. The Wicks lads are as genuine as you get, neither of them has any reason to lie. Daniel's decision won't just be based on who the new coach is either.

And I doubt very much that the two of them will play together next year.

Quichey, you seem to have problems absorbing what has been written. I repeat, Gepps Cross Football Club as not spoken officially to Daniel Wicks and won't be, irrespective of what his brother has filled your head with.
For God's sake, what don't you understand about that?

That's funny Ace. Since when did clubs officially speak with players? If the coach goes off and speaks to a player is it official or does it have to be approved by the board? Ha ha, I wonder if there is some list somewhere of players 'officially approached by GX'.

TBS, there is a difference between an 'off the cuff' comment and an 'official club approach'. You need not be all that clever to work that out. Maybe if I change the word to 'formal/informal' that might suffice for the point of this excercise.
I said to your club captain yesterday in an "off the cuff' discussion, why don't you come back to Gepps next season for a kick with your mates. His answer was very interesting but as it was informal, it will also stay 'off the cuff'.

Being pedantic over a word is silly, we also know between those who speak with players what's going on, it's called communication.

It wouldn't happen unless he rang me"

A bit agro today are we Ace? What are those reasons? Not obvious to me. Maybe I don't slut around footy clubs demanding silly amounts of money. That seems to be the MO of the people GX usually 'officially contact'.

Careful there Shreky, remember the old glasshouse theory. How is Phil & Carol these days? By the way, you didn't trick me with your legal jargon MO, I take it you mean 'modus operandum'
At least at Gepps out taxation bills are paid 'on time' as distinct from some other clubs around the area.

Oh and I forgot, Oker came for a haircut and got the coaching spot for nothing, how convenient, and all those good players, they're doing it for the love of the club. Oops sorry!
