MONTE CRISTO wrote:I don't know that anyone is saying the new coaches aren't good at their trade but face facts, neither Onkas nor Thunderers made the finals last year, because they didn't have enough good players. If they want to play in next season's finals then new quality players are essential and that would be the same if Kevin Sheedy was in charge. The question is are these new coaches able to attract the players required?
I heard Bridgy were going to retain the 2008 coach.

Campbell at Ironbank i think is a great move - laid back character , but knows his footy and knows when its the right time to do the hardwork, i think he will get the best out of that club.
Salievic i think will take Blackwood forward over the next few seasons.
Lynch - don't know him that well but was good for Aldinga , has never had a side with the quality of Onkas so here is his chance.
If you didn't appoint a coach because of what got said on this forum , no club would have a coach becuase nobody gets thru without someone getting stuck in about them.![]()

Panther, Believe me Lynch didn't have the quality when he first came to Aldinga but after the club spent lots of dollars over 3 years picking up quality players he still couldn't get the club near finals. He doesn't work with juniors, no game plans, no training plans let along a pre-season plan. The only players that will follow him are the ones that are chasing $$$$. I heard there is a bet to how long he will last at Onkas. I wish Onkas and Lynchy all the best in 09.
