West Adelaide are chasing Clinch from Port Adelaide. Had a good season at the Magpies, and West have offered him double what he gets at Port.

You would think so, and I hope he comes back and has a great year, some people just don't rate him but I think he's quality...

He's rated at the 'Vic Roosters' (North Ballarat, VFL Premiers 08') and is close to signing a 2 year deal. They are trying to secure him work in an educational role in the Ballarat High Schools system.
Job signed, 2 year deal will follow. He wants to bring his young family up in Ballarat. But work is the clincher !

A finals gameplan. *chuckle* Your mob could have done with that gameplan this year.

Here's some more wood for you to white ant.

No need for these at Westies TB, we don't have a list that would take us over the salary cap.

Ferguson would have to be on a quarter of a million at least?

We did recently "win" a wooden spoon and go over the salary cap. It was in Doug's last year and Phillips had the job of fessing up to the SANFL once he had taken over. Obviously people were being paid far too much  .

I heard he gets the whole salary cap and all the others are paid outside of it   .

Ryan Jackson - delisted by carlton would be a good pick up by an sanfl club. Gets plenty of the ball but not quite quick enough for AFL.

A fair chance of him in five years being similar to Mark McKenzie from the eagles.

True but paper bags weren't involved, it was simple incompetence.

Yeah good call that. Thought he may get another year, but nope. Saddington is another that may get some interest....

Will be interesting to see who out of the recently delisted Power players decide to stay in the SANFL or head back home...

So far Damon White has committed to North Adelaide as mentioned...

Others who were delisted, their SANFL affiliated club:

Damon White - North (already signed on with North)
Nathan Lonie - North
Gavin Grose (rookie) - North

Ryan Williams - Centrals (I'm a bit suprised with this one ??)
Daniel Boyle (Rookie) - Centrals

Greg Bentley - Sturt
Fabian Deluca - Sturt (*suprised he was cut over Jon Giles)

Adam Cockshell - Norwood (a norwood native anyway)

Ryan Willits - West Adelaide (I heard he may have signed with Westies already ?)

Out of all of them, only Adam Cockshell is an SA native and not mini drafted into the SANFL system. I wouldn't be suprised if all of them, bar Willits and White, head back home. Personally I would love for Ryan Williams and Dan Boyle to stay with the Doggies but don't know that it will happen.

Agreed Dash, was excellent in the last three games against Glenelg this year, wouldn't mind seeing him in black and gold in 2009 and I don't mean Gawler Central or Nuriootpa either....
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Port Magpies have held talks this week with former West Coast Eagles forward Chad Jones who was delisted recently. He is a player with Claremont in the WAFL and IMO would be a pretty handy recruit!
