How did everyone go today?

We bowled Plympton out for 148 and made the runs 4 down which was disappointing after being 0/130. Jake Whenan madea nice 55 and Pressy made a well compiled 81.

I heard that the bays got rolled for 33 against the sharks and the ramblers got home in a close one against keswick. North Haven fell 30 short against Sheidow Pk.

I'm glad the first game is out the way.

Colo kept very well against Keswick on Saturday. I think he finished with 2 stumpings for the day and a catch, but did keep very well. Also, the keeper for keswick handled himself very nicely to take 3 catches and a very good stumping. Also peeled off 45 at the end of the innings to nearly get keswick over the line. Keswick dropped nearly 10 catches in the field and worky smashed 26 of one scott martin over. i too am happy that first ones out the way. Back in cricket mode now!!

I heard 1 keeper got 5 votes from that game and the other only got 3. Poor form from the Ramblers captain.

Russel King batted well for WYC in their B's after playing and missing at 6 balls in a row from Peter Gladigau , they were 2/39 @ drinks and ended up with 193....

Why was Russel King in Bs? Disciplinary reasons?

Agree the Keswick keeper probably deserved 4 votes. Colo deserved 4 or 5. Keeping cleanly up at the stumps to the medium pacers does put you a step ahead of most others. Keswick had it setup at drinks at 2/90, but unfortunately played for spin when they faced Calderbank after drinks. Calderbank 8 overs, 3/8.

Sheidow Parks A's had a good win first up for the year. It was definately our old players that carried us with the bat. We have 4 first choice A Graders out at the moment and have a tough game against Western Youth this week.

Nah AF it is where he will be spending all of 2008/09 he says he isn't up to 75 overs anymore and it isn't a bad thing for the club as we give a young guy a go in the A's and he helps the b grade out.

How old is Kingy? Not as old as pressy i bet. Big loss if not in As. Always made runs against us, never one to be controlled.

You are right AF Kingy is 6 years younger than Pressy and whilst he is a loss we are confident we have the young fellas to step up and perform well enough for us to be around the mark again come finals time.

That is a nice way to put it Bay Boy   . He may be a little Precious but we are happy to still have him at the club and helping out our young guys in the b grade.

Is there a site that I can view ASCA scores online? If not that's pretty piss poor. Just shows how everyone took Dave (Billett?)'s efforts for granted for many years.

Russell would be about 36 or 37, he is a great guy and is a good batsman, i played with him at Unley C.C. and played football with him at Kenilworth.
