watsons was a good ball and wouldve got most out- he will get runs this series IMO - he is a quality batsman- im not so sure his bowling will be effective

Hang on. Haddin is a wicketkeeper. His job is to keep wickets. Watson for some strange reason is batting at number six. His job is to score runs. Haddin is not in the side to be a number seven batsman and if you are expecting him to be Adam Gilchrist that is just ridiculous. Almost as ridiculous is expecting him to be on top of his game when he first comes to the wicket.

Stumps attempted defensive shot has failed and his castle has been flattened by a good ball that 'would've got most out'.

Haddin (a wicketkeeper) 173 at 34.6
Watson (an 'allrounder') 83 at 16.6

Twice the average, twice the Cricketer.

how much better is ponting than mcgrath then??
They are both allrounders BTW- and im not saying haddin is not a better player than watson - all im saying is haddin was very lucky to survive early and watson was unlucky and got a good one. I dont expect haddin to be gilchrist- but considering his talent- i think he needs to be tighter early in his innings- he played and missed at least helf a dozen times well ouside off

Sad part for WATTO[asI hae re-iterated] is that this tour in the middle order will ruin him.
Still its only about his 3rd test so we should evaluate after 10 tests.

I hope this is Cameron White's first and last test, actually, he shouldn't have even been given a baggy green.

He is a class act with the bat, not a bowler. This tour will ruin him batting at 8 and getting smashed with the ball. When he plays for Vic he bats 5 and maybe just maybe he will call upon himself to bowl a few top spinners, wrong un's as he cant bowl a leggie yet. I hope he proves us wrong because I love watching him bat.

thats very harsh HOF!!! he could get 5 for and runs in the second innings, he is actually a very good player if you watched Pura cup, everyone is going on how he only bowled 85 overs last year. he did underbowl his self last year.

There are some who think if he bowled 85 overs, he actually over-bowled himself. Okay, he's picked as a spinner who can bat, but he's a batsman who can bowl (a little), that's why I was disappointed by the way he was dismissed for 6. He's going to need 50s at No.8 to compensate for his bowling or he won't last long.

I'm going to bump every single one of your negative posts about Watto when this tour is finished and he has established himself in the side. :)

Good luck with that. Performing well in 20/20 or ODI's doesn't count though so i can't see it being an issue. Regardless he will be asked to bowl soon and inevitably he'll tear his hamstring from the bone.
