Maybe Stirlo's shredder was for all the shithous applications.

I'd say you could do worse than Kym Hermann, give him the job.

Good idea Shrek
They all could follow is leed, king hitter, as he showed in a prelim a couple of years ago and cost them the game in the first quarter

Hafey. I hope you get your 'gear' the same place you get your info...

First Whenham, has not even applied
Then Harvey, has openly stated is happy to coach juniors and help out elsewhere (so perhaps assistant coach, but not head coach)...

But Im with the rest here, cmon Stirlo, in a time your club needed to show strenght, even if that included sacking Brant, surely would like to get on the front foot with a new coach...

And if you say we are going through the applicants, well what if you get none that are better than Brant, pretty silly, wouldnt it have been better just to tell him its an open application and if nothing better turned up sign him a gain...

Bad perception that its taking so long!!

From what I hear about K Herrmann has either got into or nearly got into fights the last few times he's set foot into his old club, dont think the committee will now give him the job no matter what success he had at Hamley!

Fair enough about Hermann. I didn't realise he was that bad.

We'd be at it for years if we interviewed all the wanna be Tiger coaches.

David Smith from APFL looks a decent prospect and he is looking for a BLG gig.

Why taking your time to secure the best possible candidate is a " bad perception" and who really cares , the next Ron Barrassi could be just around the corner.

What it indicates is that the club is exploring all avenues and not leaving any stone unturned. If i was a member with Gawler Centrals i would be much happier with this approach rather then rushing out and grabbing the first decent applicant with a can do attitude.
What i dont know about football isnt worth knowing .

With the position open for a couple of weeks now, you would think if the next Ron barassi is around the corner he would have applied by now!!

Not everyone is as slow as you!!!

Promising junior Dylan Spicer back to Gawler South as a result of the SANFL dropping the under 19s.
A handy pick-up I understand.
His contract does stipulate that he can go back to Centrals if the opportunity arises.

No decision made on EP job yet. Happening very soon. Hoepfully GC don't get bitten. take too long and guys win jobs elsehwhere. Other than that its good that they are taking their time to find the right guy for their club and list. I would say he will get the EP job if he wants it but the opportunity to help GC go the next step might be too tempting.

You dont know the facts of what happened
It was actually Gibbons who took the Legal Action
That year will go down as the then President stuffed the club, and why it's still suffering
Decade by the way is 10 years, not 3 that Oconnor was there or 1 year that Gibbons coached, by the way they finished 4th that year, and ONCE AGAIN your side finished 3rd, by now you must be getting sick of all the 3rds,
Look in your own back yard, of under achievers
Songer with his supporting on a Saturday, made your second rate club go to third rate
Talk about things that are relevant NOW and not in the past, but please please get your facts right

My mail says both of them were playing Perry Mason, but gibbons had the upper hand because his name was printed in the local paper... Either way both involved in a local laughing stock and have etched their name into football foke law.

Coached for 10+years, last stint i believe was at hummocks, representative coach APFL 06 & 07, won 2 premierships as a coach, think he played at Gepps Cross.

No one seems to be talking about it much...Would like to know what some insiders at GC think....What are they looking for in the new coach..?

Stirlo - I'm with the hound on this. Do you think you will appoint a new coach this Millennium? What is the hold up? and when do you anticipate that a decision will be reached? From an outsider it would appear that they may be going down struggle street. The club should be assertive in the direction and already be focussing on 09 rather than fumbling around looking for a coach. Surely it cant be that hard!

Duke, maybe they'll let the players do a preseason on their own & see if king & co can choose a coach that will let them keep playing their selfish style of game
opinions are like armpits, everyone has them & everyone else's stink!
