just to clarify, my post was tongue-in-cheek, as our vacancy at Fitzroy is the B Grasde job... my role as C Grade playing-coach is still tenable.

I thought his name was Blackham or something like that... Heard he has contacted a few Seaton lads saying that he has some money to spend...

Zed,

Are you happy with the appointment, do you think they will be good to take the club forward?

yes i think it is the right choice and the players will be happy..the actual coach selection maybe seen as boring but i think you will see a few other new ideas and fresh faces coming through the support staff etc that will get some zip back in the place..but in the end..the coach is only as good as the input from the playing group..if they dont train they will get what they got this year..mediocrity..95% sure we will have 2 teams only ..so..42 spots available only..that should put some heat on training and get the power at the club back in the coaches hands and out of the players control..

lets not give up on the 3 teams, with the juniors coming through that will push some of the older B grade players down to play in the C's

IMHO I think we should stick to just two sides, get that right first. At the moment we struggle to fill the third side week to week, and then theres the arguement that some guys would rather play C grade because you dont need to train, and its easier, which has divided the club to 'us' and 'them'. I think scrap the third side for the time being and make guys get of their asses and earn the right to wear the guernsey!

Has it been confirmed that Brad Snell is coaching CLG FC in 2009?

The club has obviously put their faith with a fairly young candidate.

Good luck to him...not sure about his credentials and how he will handle being in charge of a senior side.
