It looks as if all Senior Coaches are done and dusted with the exception of Encounter Bay and maybe Langhornes
McLaren is a top choice with Hill
Victor has a pretty successful coach in Shane Mitchell although a bit of carry on luggage with the package.

Langhornes still a bit wobbly

Up to you Cuzzy to tick the last box.
McLean and Ellis are the favoured 2 with McLean in front by a couple of lengths at the 150 metre mark on a dead track. $ will be the deciding factor.

Im assuming this is Andrew Mclean, their ruckman from a few years back. Would be a handy inclusion but do they want to keep persisting with the player-coach system? I can see the benefits with the $$ saved but I personally am still not sold on player-coaches.

Where will Troy Jacques end up coaching? Personally i think he would be a fantastic coach after speaking quite frequently with him about football his knowledge and football 'smarts' is very very good.

Has Shane Mitchell definately got the Victor job because I heard today he has also got the Hackham job. This info comes from a person on the committee at Hackham.

McLean must be the front runner at the Bay. My cousin who plays for PNU tells me he has left there so he needs a new home.

Where and what game was this???

He played for Raukkan in the Spirit Festival at Richmond oval. In my opinion he was their best in their final loss against Port Augusta.

Heard Mitchell didn't get a second interview.
McLean would be a good get for Bays, but cuzzy aren't the Bays talking to a non-playing coach at present?

So who won each clubs best and fairest? Without going back through the pages the ones i can remember people posting were:

LC: Nick Warren
Mclaren: Eliot Schneider
Goolwa: Mcguinness??

I would assume that Hodge would win Victors, S Hutchinson at Myponga, Bailey at Compass, Eagleton at Strath, Koster or Hamlyn at Yank, S Baggs at E Bay and im goin with Carnevale at Willunga.

Haha, great start to the day thanks for that KK. As a junior Brett Smith was certainly the best player i played against whilst in under 14s and 16s! Good to see that hes back playing good football again and getting some recognition for it.

KK, in your mind what do Mclarens need to do to get off the bottom rungs of the ladder? After 2003 things havent worked out and with the new coaching appointments (Hill and Hart, who has some connections about the place and is sure to bring some good players with him) surely theres an air of excitement about the place. The past 2 years have seen new coaches aswell so theres some other issues that need addressing.

A number of things need to be done BJ!
The most important thing that needs to be done is get everyone's head switched on at the start of the season. Need alot of players that have been around the traps for a while to commit to a full season of hard footy. Starts with a solid pre-season, which i know is a bit hard sometimes with Vintage, but if your keen then you will do the work yourself. We have always had some great talent, but the lack of enthusiasm and the willingness to do the hard things to win you games has lacked in the last few seasons. Too many takuing the easy way out  ! I'm absolutly positive Hilly will rub this attitude out and with a few recruits(eg Ruckman, goalkicking on-ballers), plus the young fellas coming up from the colts, i'm sure things will turn around! :D
They really need to work hard to get Henno to play another season aswell, it will be really hard if to replace him if he doesn't hang around. Plus, love to see big Broughts fire up and do a big preseason!

Goolwa dont have the B&F count untill the 18th BJ, Mcguinness wont get close I would think Yowie will win it.
Victor was Hodge.

bays best and fairest is this sat night, think you will find O. Love stiches it up, hope not though would love to see S Baggs win it. He's had a great year, and not only played well himself but led the team very well also.

To tell the truth i havent heard much about the coaches at the bay, heard Bassani is still in the loop and returns this week for presentation night so will find out more then. I know bays advertised in the paper and got a load of applicants and have come up with a shortlist of 3 or 4 i think. Should find out soon though, Mclean would be handy to get back, if he came back think you would find jagognik, rolf, modra, smart (maybe but possibly going to live in keith) Hoffy (maybe) jeeze the list goes on. Bring on Mclean, but to tell you the truth i am not sure who the other candidate are, 1 is Bassani

Isn't Bassani living in Sydney at the moment?
Is that just a summer thing perhaps?
