LuvsFooty wrote:Points are based on where you last played. so lootsy (example) would be a 3 point player to any GSFL club, unless he has played junior footy at that club. Players that have played less than 10 games in the previous 2 years dont attract any points. Yeomans was recruited prior to the point system so he was always a standard player, but my understanding is that if he plays elsewhere and returns he would then attract points. but i have also got things wrong befor. just my interpretaion

That wouldn't make sense though LF, as why would clubs go after players that have played seniors at the club but not juniors to come back and play?

Would the Aboriginal bloke from Ecounter Bay be Owen Love?

doubt owen love, girl friend in victor harbor now and also think his brother would play where he played. This is most likley an aboriginal player from the year before who has had a year off. Or possibly Aguis or Stokes?

Shopping  Be interesting to see who follows him from Morphies

Ellison? Pollard?

Apparantly Pollard and Hill aren't fans of each other - True/False?

Can confirm that Hill has already spoken to McLarens no 1 player expressing his concerns of his poor training record. The word is do it properly or move on.
Wonder how that will pan out!

Watched Ben Stokes play some good footy on the weekend, bit of weight about him but still moving very well. If he is the bloke heading to Victor and can keep motivated all year will be very dominant.

LF, I think you would find Lootsy would be a zero point player at McLaren and the Mudlarks - played over 25 games or junior football at the club.
Simon Dennis if returned would be zero points for Saints, so would Gigney if he played that many matches. That is my interpretation and it is the one many clubs are going by in recruiting for next season. Maybe an information night is needed urgently so clubs do not stuff up!

haha keep stokesy motivated, good luck, why do you think every club he plays at is happy to let him go at the end of his first year. The guy does not know what training or hard work even means. Dont think he has a license either so good luck getting him to victor

Good call Cuzzy
Very talented junior...and did it very easy.
As with many juniors who do it easy, their work ethic as seniors is questionable.
Throw in some easy money and they get even worse.
While our volunteers keep on earning money for clubs and sponsors continue to donate, players keep on TAKING WHAT IS OFFERED.

51 goals from Cowling who has only had a couple of seaons in the A's is a fantastic effort. With key forwards at a premium he would surely be McLarens' no.1 player.

In my opinion:

I'm not too sure that we actually have a 'number one player' as such... but maybe a top 5 or 6 of equal 'quality'.
So I'm not sure who is being refered to as our 'Number one player'

I can tell you however that Eliot Schneider would have to be pretty sick/injured not to train... attends all training sessions all year round.
And as far as I can remember so did Jason Cowling.
Not sure about Justin ??

So yeah, not sure who is being talked about here O:) pressuming he has infact talked to anyone yet, let alone 'singled' someone out :-k

That is correct, I know the conversation took place between Hill and player but I am not disclosing who the player is.
