spot on eagle man his mum does work up that way and his brother plays for Wests, but the main motivation is a new job. It's a promotion of sorts so there is more money in it but you are correct about the housing benefits. Either way its a huge loss. Tamwork I have no idea about any possible replacements or recruits for the Saints

I heard that the Saints have approached Jeremy Johncock to play in 2009. He has played for Sturt this year, mostly reserves with a couple of league games. Would be a great recruit.

That would be a good pick up, replace the void left by YEOMANS.

They would still need someone in the midfield to replace Yeomans because i think Johncock has been playing CHF all year, he is a big lad in any case. Playing in the Reserves GF sunday.

Each player loses a point each year he is registered at the club regardless of how many games he plays (no min/max games) until he reaches the minimum of 1 point.

just reading the document now, somewhat confusing. . . but a player who RETURNS to a club he has played 1 junior game or 25 senior games at will cost no points. . . . sorry for the confusion . . . So yeomans would have cost Saints 1 point next year . (they have 14)

Only if he has played juniors. The points system is to stop players 'club hopping'. Club hoppers will attract maximum points if they have played more than 25 A grade games at any club. As I have mentioned previously, clubs will need to make sure they understand the system. Contact the league secretary if in doubt. God I hope I am right.

Oh, its confusing, i have the document in my hand, it says . . Players returning to clubs from other leagues. . if have played 1 junior game or 25 senior games at the club they are returning to then they are 0 points. . .
So the way i read it a player like Daniel LOOTS for example could return to Mclaren for 0 points as he has previously played over 2 games or them.

So what about in the situation a player has played 6 A grade games in the past 2 years at a club, what points value does he hold at another club?

Also deduct 1 point for each season not played prior to upcoming season. Does this make sense?

Points are based on where you last played. so lootsy (example) would be a 3 point player to any GSFL club, unless he has played junior footy at that club. Players that have played less than 10 games in the previous 2 years dont attract any points. Yeomans was recruited prior to the point system so he was always a standard player, but my understanding is that if he plays elsewhere and returns he would then attract points. but i have also got things wrong befor. just my interpretaion

An interesting post i just found in the Hills Country Forum -

ex maccy coach mitchell has got the vctor harbour job and already wasted there points on toffoli and tamrappa who will both struggle in that league to even play bs danielle has signed at maccy and they are also close to signing an aboriginal lad from encounter bay as well as have signe a 6 foot four bloke from div 1 amateur league so things looking up for the blood nd tars and at least one of the guys who left to go to tailem was spotted up there at a meet the coach night this week aswell maybe he can talk all those guys into going back

Would the Aboriginal bloke from Ecounter Bay be Owen Love?

I know he was in the final 2 that victor had chosen as potential coaches

Pretty much spot on LF but being that Yoey has left for employment purposes, he could return as a 1 point player. This would only happen if the Saints argued this point. As I have stated previously, the points system is designed to stop players club hopping and chasing the $$$ but honest reasons for leaving and returning can be dealt with fairly.

Very surprised if this is true but as was said on another part of forum, he'll be a good coach if he has the cattle to work with.
If Victor Harbor is recruiting the players they are supposedly recruiting, Toffoli won't get within a bulls roar of A grade if the side is being picked properly.

I knew this last weekend 8) , as I stated on the website earlier in the week. Will Toffoli go to Victor?? Long way to travel for the big fella, in the past a very good player, have not seen much of him over the past 2 years. I would think tamarapa would go ok in the GSFL
