Hilly is a great appointment top bloke, no-one would have been close to his credentials that went for it, surely he would have won the position by miles, any morphy boys know if he will bring any guns, again well done done maclaren and goodluck hilly...

I know McLaren were looking for a 3 year deal.
It would take at least that long for them to get as good as Willunga.
I would suggest he will be there for at least that long

Three or four applicants were received on closing day. Not much being let out from their panel as to who has been interviewed. All I know is that they have had some exceptional candidates. Would think around 12

So 11 potential coaches have no job for next year, plenty jobs around at the moment, 6 or 7 in Southern.

And observing from the sidelines he seems to be very supportive of his team mates.
If the Full Forward kicks a goal and Moll is at Full Back, he almost always will run the length of the ground to congratulate him.

You are a bit off the mark there A MUM
Last time Molling ran the length of the ground was at Mini League when he changed ends.
He would have punched more heads than he has punched footballs.
To his credit he has also taken a lot of hits.

He hits you...you hit him ...then you have a beer

Isn't that the way it should be

Exactly the way it should be mr. m.
A beer for each punch and we'd all be pissed really quickly.

played with moll for years, great bloke, doesn't mind a cheap shot, puts his body on line but hey you dont captain premiership teams if your soft, also a life member and one of the great club people and trust me he looks scarier than he really is, but its not his fault he was the boy of the sorbent ad who was raised by dogs for 15 years!!!

I hope he realises that despite how good Mclaren juniors have been, the club still needs to recruit 3 or 4 quality A graders. . . . . Mclaren is not Morphett Vale, and does not have 100+ juniors each season coming through. . . Recruiting is the key to playing finals footy next year. . Some work has already been done but more is required.

agreed, need to recruit players if we wanna play finals next year, especially if the rumours about henno leaving are true, even though not his best year was not fully fit all season, possbily from a glass door but thats another story , we will need key position players ie 2nd ruckman, chf , chb, goal kicking on baller in portlock/ eagleton mode, though there is players to fill these our depth is not great and when we suffer injuries thats when it hurts, but i guess it all depends on the way the club want to progress is it worth recruiting??

You are an idiot. A handful of players have left the Emus for money and normally returned within 1 to 2 years. As for slandering other clubs I don't think too many people in the SFL were fans of McLaren "Districts" when they were in the league and things don't seem to have changed in the GSFL.

As for the Glory, normally does come with a premiership or two.

define "integrity" Kernas...

integrity
Noun
1. honesty
2. the quality of being whole or united: respect for a state's territorial integrity

I think you'll find the Morphett Vale boys stick together through thick and thin, and remain loyal to their club regardless of huge amounts of cash being offered to play elsewhere. The Emu's are a group which has stuck together for years. If you are looking for blokes with integrity you cant look further than the boys wearing red and black my friend.

Good On you McLaren for obtaining the services of Steve Hill.

A Proven successful coach.

If you do in fact have a 3 year deal (or more) it will give your club a chance to settle down and become very strong

lets hope so cos our track record for retaining a grade coaches isnt great and possibly also a contibuting factor to not developing the juniors as good as one would hope
2001 mark whyatt
2002 2003 norm bergman premiership 2003
2004 2005 todd bache
2006 kym klomp
2007 2008 steve jaggard
2009 ---- steve hill
it will be our 6th coach in 9 years we need him to do 3 plus years at least to get some stability, work with the under 17s and develop them into 10 year a graders, and lets be honest the sooner we win another a grade flag the better so we tell everyone who bags us to shove it.

does anyone know what juniors are up from last year evan willaims, callum scholar, erick hanson, keifer zohar, chris little i think are all up but any others
