They didn't pay a single player last year, had some ex local boys and a couple of friends that just wanted a kick travel down for less than would cover petrol.

Good rumour though, whoever chooses to go to the Rovers will because they want to play there not because of cash.

Skeletal Spanner is spot on here... after paying for the coaches yearly supply of hair product & head-sized underwear The Rovers don't have a lot of pennies left in the cupboard to pay imports

Whoever chooses to go up there might wanna sign a pre-nup stating they wont stand Roo in a GF either... tell the coach he can do that himself, he will tell you he is easily good enough!!!

Interesting you blokes are crying poor... The people who Renmark are approaching certainly don't come cheap, and I hazard a guess they wouldn't choose to drive 4 hours per trip for their love of the game... especially when their palms are being greased nicely at their current clubs...

So are the Stelzers playing for nothing??

We haven't approached anyone yet bud we are still sorting out our coaching staff before we do that.
all the players we are supposed to be contacting are all rumours, you can keep running with it if you want to but get your facts right about a club before you argue with the coach about details surrounding it.

i am not crying poor i am simply putting the story straight so that people like you don't spread sh...t that isn't true.

Camplin boys living in town and are playing for nothing like all the other local boys.

hard to believe but it can still happen these days in footy.

I am not suggesting that the Camplin brothers don't do that, they are not my topic of discussion. I am merely stating a fact. Answer me this - have the Stelzer boys signed to play for Renmark? Have they approached other players in the BLG to accompany them? I know for a FACT that they have. I was speaking with someone who was approached by Paul on GF day.

Check my previous posts champ - I am not in the business of sprouting innuendo.

MP,

The fact the Steltzers asked is : FACT

The player in question is not going as they had already signed with a club for 2009.

I didnt suggest the Steltzer boys were doing this on the clubs behalf either... Just reporteing what i have been told first hand!

As for the Herzig incident, I am led to believe that has was urinating all over the bar in the club-rooms late one night, something the club was obviously upset with...

How do you know this SS? Have you taken a straw poll of everyone in your club, and determined each and everyones alias??

Honesty is the best policy - if your club is actively seeking players, be up front with it!! There is nothing wrong with trying to further your club!! Even if it does take a few dollars...

Don Brook - what about the Baker boys??

Note: Even though they may, not all of these blokes would be on that coin...

Angaston:

Barossa:
M Steltzer
D Thomas (though his is wrapped up in his payment as Ass. Coach)

Freeling:
Nil

Gawler Centrals:
S Hahn
B Taylor

Kapunda:
B Taylor

Nuriootpa:
Nil

South Gawler:
A Bayliss

Tanunda:
M Greenwood
B Newberry
A Kennedy

Willaston:
Nil

Yet I know there are a handful of other players who THINK they should be able to demand that sort of cash!!

not a bad list LC, not all those guys are getting that but if they were on the market they could get it elsewhere, you missed D Leske from Freeling, C Mclean & S Baker from Will,Cragg Sapsford from Nuri, also Wells from Tan and Commane from BD could get huge coin if they chased it
opinions are like armpits, everyone has them & everyone else's stink!
