I can remember the chatter when ST beat CD in the last G/F they played
All week CD were saying how they were gunna pressure ST
Gunna tackle/chase and not allow ST to get thier game flowing
That was said during the week leading up to the G/F
CD lost

Why would you wanna talk about stopping the opposition ?


I can remember Ronnie Fullers famous speeches
When asked if WWT could beat CD he would reply something like this
" We are there we have a chance, a better chance than the clubs that missed out."


Point being in those instances there were negative vibes

At least Grima is making a confident brash comment and not a defeatest attitude comment

In the end if GL win the sceptics will say he was right
If GL lose he will be torn to pieces by the sceptics

I have no prob with his comments
CD have been winning the flags so why not try and get under thier skin

I'd find it hard to believe that Central's sole motivation to win is one comment from a Glenelg player .... no matter how correct it is.

I am a Centrals fan and I think the comments were great!
I wanna see as much hype and fire about the GF as possible, its great he spoke up ,too see a bit of niggle even before the game is great for it,it gives us a bit of optimism for a dinky die no holds barred clash.
Thats what GFs are about and talk it up boys, 35k plus would be great,if you wanna jump on a bandwagon go ahead,if guys wanna let loose a few niggles go ahead,the more said and the bigger the whole thing gets the better imo,its all good!
Lets hope this GF is huge,bring it on!

Not sure if this thread refers to comments made on channel 9 news. If so Captain Centrals has posted the link on CDFC website to the comments. I'm too computer illiterate to be able to copy it here. The gist of it is "their runs finished, their at the end of their tether...if all 21 play well we're unbeatable" something like that. It's about 2mins 20 into the download.

I'd be surprised if any of the coaching staff even mention it. It was pretty mild. The older guys might get stirred a little by the younger pups but I can't see it making any difference. As if they need any more incentive to play well.

Got the supporters and media going though didn't it. Another aspect of the final to talk about.
