Won't be far away I'm sure NWNW.

Lots of applicants and obviously lots of decisions to make - people to choose from. I've read on here (in the McLaren thread) that the playing group have met with a prospective coach, but I'd also assume with so many applicants that they playing group may meet with more than one. Big decision to be made, so I'd assume time will be taken before anyone signs on the dotted line.

Lot's of assuming I know.... but no one can say for certain until we get official word from the club that someone has signed on that dotted line. Maybe we'll know by this time next week.

Well after my 1 month ban I am back, turns out the admin on this forum are allot tougher than the GSFL tribunal I was never given a yellow card! Straight to a one month ban with out the chance of facing the tribunal to pled my case!
What a month its been I will just say one thing, is it all because A-Mum that we are seeing so much attention on the Mclaren footy club and she has got all players and supporters to join the forum or do you all actually care about the place? Seems like they must be offering something pretty special for a new coach, if its true about all these applicants applying for the head coaches position!
Is anyone aware of any possible player movements or retirement, is 5 in a row enough for some of the Willunga guys to take a step back???

Welcome back Teamwork O:)

I'm not exaclty sure what you mean by the 'A Mum' bit.

I can definitely confirm that there were/are that many applicants.

PS: Okay, now I get it. No I have not got players and supporters to join the forum, nor anyone got me to join.

The ones who are on here from McLaren are King Kernas, Eagles 23 and hereforthebeer... and I know them by name, but have never actually held a conversation with them.

As you know I asked around the place and said that I had asked and admin would give us our own section where we could have all the clubs up... but no interest... so I decided that I'd like a place to be able to post just McLaren stuff and put up photos throughout the year etc... and as not to 'impose' on the GSFL thread all the time.

Actually thought you guys might appreciate it.

welcome back team work!! but i dont think 5 in a row is enough... 7 in a row is the record held by victor i think in the 40's, so i think that is something to aim for!!!
The greats weren't great because at birth they could paint,
The greats were great because they paint a lot.

Jimmy.
Footy is a game for all people...Not just footballers from Willunga and therabouts.
Just let some other players win a premiership in the GSFL.

It's a bit like the poor Reynella boys ...been trying for 31..going to 32 years without one.

Levi has been very busy chasing players.

Ellis is close to signing, just working on $

Who did he play for before going down to the South East? He played at Glenelg (?), but was there an amateur club in town he played for as well?

I dont think anyone has seeked him out, and no disrespect to lynch but with some of the names i have seen thrown around on here who have applied i think Lynch would not even stand a chance.

If Hill has actually applied i would have my money on him

Absolutely Mr T. Would love to see Hilly down at the club. A great person and definately a great coach. Knows how to motivate his players and get the best out of what he has got. :D
I know he has coached a good side the last few years, but i think he would love the challenge of re-building a struggling club.

Yea lads the ban was the out come of a Mclaren player fighting out side his weight division. He come on here trying to look like a hero and throwing words around so I worked out who he was and identified him in a post, turns out unless you suspect someone is Bassani your not allowed to suggest who the user may be behind his/hers user name.
