If anyone has more versions or songs email them to admin@safooty.net and Ill add them.
If you have them on CD and dont know how to convert them to mp3 I can walk you through it too.
If you only have a tape or record version we should be able to sort something out too!

I have a couple of Centrals songs or versions different to those mentioned in the first post and I'll sent them to Wedgie. I also have a few other football related songs including the two done by the Footy Show for the Crows 97 flag if anyones interested.

By popular demand and thanks to Zathrus who is a legend Ive added these mp3s for download, Dogs fans are going to love this, 4 new versions/songs of Centrals song including the "Beware the Dogs are coming", also the current Crows song and a couple of songs about the crows, the first one loses some quality at times, I'll see if we can improve on that:

I'll edit them into my original post too.

Great stuff Zathrus, love your work! :D

If anyone can help that would be greatly appreciated, unfortunately it's not in strawbs collection, I but i still got a cd posted from him, thanks mate, well done...

Isn't SAFooty a wonderful site?
Don't plead to your local club, the SANFL or mainstream media, if its out there SAFooty will find it!
Ask and you shall receive thanks to Zathrus:
(apologies as it loses quality 2/3rd through though)

http://www.safooty.net/mp3s/CDFC4.mp3

PS Awesome effort Zathrus getting that song to us as so many people were after it, so many Doggy fans (and history freaks like me) will be eternally grateful, but if anyone has a version with no distortion near the end email it to admin@safooty.net and I'll add it. You'll be an eternal legend Zathrus for that!

This has been a fun exercise, it'd be awesome (and a challenge) if we eventually had a good version of every club song that's ever been released!

Zathrus...

YOU ARE A BLOODY LEGEND !!!

Thankyou so much mate, I had been looking for ANY version of that song for god knows how long...

Apart from the distortion, gees that was great to listen to and bought great memories back as a kid !!

I reckon there is another version of that one as well, somebody out there must have it...

I tell you the other song that bought memories flooding back was this one...

http://www.safooty.net/mp3s/CDFC6.mp3

If my memory serves me correct, was it not recorded with all the fans over at the old club rooms (a few years before they got done up). I seem to remember being a 13 or 14 year old kid singing and screaming "YOUUUUU DOOOOOGGGSSS & CEEEEEENNNTTRRAAAAAAAALLS" with a massive group of fans and the guy with the recording gear up on a stage.

Once again, well done Zathrus...

I have been feeling pretty sh!t the last few days crook, but you certainly helped lift my spirits this morning when I heard that "Beware The Dogs Are Coming" once more. I tell you, there is just something about it mate, it gave me tingles all over just hearing it again...

Any way, excuse me, I'm going to listen to it again and again and again !!!!

GO U DOGGIES... (We're the pride of the plain !!!)

BP

P.S - Of course a big thanks to Wedgie as well for doing a great job with this site, as always...

That's right Phil, we were all gathered in the old club & I can't remember who was directing us but we had to chant different tunes at different times when he prompted us! Great stuff! The fact that we were all pretty pissed at the time helped heaps!

Speak for yourself Gazza, I was only 13 at the time, still 12 months away from when I started drinking  (Plus wasn't it like 10am in the morning - Just kidding !!)

I just remember it being so much fun and I had a copy of it somewhere but lost in when moving out of home I reckon... :(

Anyway, great to hear them all now, like Wedgie said, SAFooty.net is the place for ANY of your SANFL needs, great work !!! :D
