Kirk Heberle should still be playing at Sturt, he has enormous potential and if it wasnt for his knee reconstruction just over a year ago he would still be at Sturt.
Was one game behind in the Mail Medal this year.
Great WAFL Product which we are yet to see the best of, scary thinking about it!
Is definately a future coach or active committee person for whoever he ends up playing with.

He married one of my cousins earlier this year I never knew we are now related to a superstar.

Also know a couple of blokes from Nuri - former imps players. David Graetz and Chris Gerhardi, Chris was a great player at imps and Graetzy was one of the toughest footballers I knew.

Interesting thing about Heberle is that we dont know where his best position is...

In his first year Milky wasn't sure what to do with him, he would have played every spot on the ground, and struggled for consistancy...

Second year he was thrown into the ruck, made association rep side and TOTY, i think he finished 4th or 5th in the medal even missing the last 6 or 7 games after he did his knee.

Had a year off with the knee...

Then this year played as a 6ft 4 centre, and came equal 3rd in the medal count.

Interesting B&S you reckon we still havent seen the best of him...

I would have to agree with the previous comments regarding Kirk Heberle. For a 6"4 player to be on ball for the majority of the day, week in week out is a tremendous effort....his skills are sublime (one of the best kicks in the league in my regard), he also reads the play extremely well, he is a great on field instructor and he can also push forward to take a good grab and always finished in front of the big sticks!

A great product of the WAFL and def a treat to see him running around in our league!

Gibson is a top bloke IMO,

But also over-rated as a footballer IMO....

He may have been a gun, but he's not exactly a match-winner for the Tigers anymore, yet still gets picked in Rep sides and Team of the Year etc...

He does the basics well and is a team player, but not in the top group of players running around at the moment!

MP, not bagging, simply giving my opinion on other peoples list's... Am I not allowed to disagree with their thoughts!!!

Happy to give you my top 10... And happy for you to disagree and pull apart my list at any time...

B Taylor (GC)
M Steltzer
M Greenwood
B Newberry
D Sharpe
S Hahn
K Heberle
A Kennedy
A Bayliss
B Taylor (K)

Stiff to miss out:

B Valentine, B Wells, B Wall, R Christie, H Commane, C McLean ... and you could add another handful there.

IMO (and of course its only my opinion) most of these blokes are match winners, given a day out they win the game for their respective clubs, and on normal days are still above most on the field.

Nothing personal against Gibbo mate, I actually think he is a damn good bloke, and a good club person, but for season 2008, not in my top 10.
