Thought I'd take this opportunity to put it out there.

Aldinga are Still Looking for an A grade Coach for 2009 and beyond.

I have been asked to put this on here so if any one has any interests in helping the Sharks move forward in 2009 let me know.

This job is for someone who would like to help cement an up and coming club and area in the next few years.

Any one with any interest please PM me, all information will be kept confidential, this is a great opportunity for the right person and I am more than willing to answer any questions.

No offence to Princi but last year Myponga played finals this year they were well out of the race, unless he signed a 2 year deal, why would you say he was safe??? Even if he signed a 2 year deal, it seems Myponga can be quite brutal sometimes when it comes to coaches! I heard the rumour that he was going back to the Bays and I think that came from you Cuzzy!
The only time i've ever been wrong...was when I thought I was wrong!!!

Goolwa has appointed Pope for 2 years but will step aside if someone better comes along
Mt compass has signed Samuels for 2 years so should keep the squad together
Strath Id say Simmons will go around again
Willunga Pilmore was linked to south U18s but didnt get to the next interview he will go again
Bays will probably sign Mclean with a couple of ex players to come back
Victor looking for a player coach
As with every season this is silly season the one thing as a club you dont want to do is stuff it up or think you have someone but they have applied for numerous other jobs then tell them they have it and find out they reject you not a good feeling being 2nd or 3rd in line interesting few weeks coming up,one thing about being a coach, you are sometimes a dead man walking so you want to get it right, good luck to all clubs on there coaching interviews and good luck to prospective coaches in 2009 see you all there.
:D Have the willunga boys stopped partying yet,I heard a little rumour one player will front the courts in a few months for a silly little act that got out of control BJ or Mickey fill us in

I think you can safely put Peter Simmons as a definite for the roosters.

Little birdy told me that a T. Jacques put in for the McLaren job. Would think he might be able to get a few players with him.

I do not know - but with so many applicants to sort through... not sure that anyone would be a 'sure thing'.

bit off the topic, but how would people feel about a 9 a-side friday night footy comp during summer or something like that, maybe gaelic. I was thinking the other day would be good to have a team from victor, bays, goolwa, myponga, compass (all fairly central) and play at a differnt venue each friday night under lights. Clubs reap income from canteen, Bar and teams stick together over summer aswel as doing a pre season. Dunno if it would work, some clubs do it in adelaide but not sure about country.

Would include strath, langhornes, willunga, yank but maybe to far to travel for the acctual venue. Needs to be more of a social thing.

Not 100% sure Cuzzy... but I think that Willunga already do something like this on a Friday night.

O:)

Pretty good idea Cuzzy, Gaelic maybe a little hard setting up the posts and soccer goals though. One sport that does go alright over summer is touch footy (rugby), easy to set-up play mixed games and no pre-season injuries from tackling.

Gday GSFL'ers, ive played Gaelic in the off season for about 3 years now and its a ripper game and great for running out the pi$$ consumed in summer - tho buggered if I could explain the confusing rules to you! Play at the old Panther Park at St Marys, if any of you country folk are ever keen to head in to the "big smoke" and have a game or a look PM me, my team (St Brendans) are always keen for more players. We are predominantly made up of footy players (mostly Morphett Vale and Happy Valley) and we play against teams made up of soccer players, SAAFL players, league ressies, even the Gowans boys ran around last year.

Anyhow back to the SFL Forum for me...

Be a part of the Saints 08 'Footy Trip Appeal". We just received news that our damage bill at the Mt Gambier Hotel has hit $2300 so all donations will be greatfully appreciated. I think this means our bond is gone. Apologies to the treasurer!!
