I wondered last week whether this was a last-minute decision when the Dogs found out Sherwood wouldn't play, and the Bays had to rob their forward line by putting Kirkby in defence.

Glenelg's first few minutes today were complete opposite to the nervous, jittery approach of last week, which set the trend for each game. We know what we'll get from the Dog's, what we get from the Bays will decide this match.

If the bays play the GF the way they played today, they could very well win. The problem also could be that i dont think the dogs will play like sturt did today. Sturt were terrible under pressure today, which is something the dogs strive on.
To be perfectly honest i think todays outcome was a blessing for the dogs, a young and inexperienced glenelg side coming up against the masters of pressure and toughness could really unsettle the bays early.
I think this game could be won or lost in the first quarter.
My prediction : DOGS by 38 pts.

i hope no one at your club feels the same was as you tonight. If they do they might as well give the flag to the dogs now.

I hope Central smash the bays like they did to us today just because i dislike central less then i dislike glenelg.

Someone will win by 9 points, an amount that adds up to 9 points, or an amount that is divisible by 9, you'll see!

Ha ha just say divisable by 9 as all the possible divisables by 9 (except for 99) adds up to 9 anyways....

9,18,27,36,45,54,63,72,81,90,108,117,126,135,144 etc etc

Don't feel like you're alone, I too have had plenty of egg on my face over the years - I think it's because when I make Egg and Bacon sangers, I like my egg a bit runny.

Congratulations to both the clubs and supporters of the Dogs and Bays, commiserations to Sturt, one of the 3 clearly best teams had to miss out unfortunately.

I think the Bays have the ability to more than match it with the Dogs, but ability is only one component ... The mental pressure of the big day and how you cope with it is pretty huge and of course we all know the Dog's are the masters at that.

For that reason, at the moment I would expect the Dogs to get over the line but I certainly wouldn't rule the Bays out.

Should be a great game and great occasion and best of luck to both teams.

Very interesting match up for this week. The Bays have been very good all year, the Dogs not so much. The Bays are the younger team (and quicker?), the Dogs are the more experienced (by far) team. Centrals will be fresh after the week's break, but so should the Bays after virtually no opposition yesterday. I would think that Centrals would be the favourites (just) based on their finals record and the result the last time they played each other, but the Bays are certainly capable of winning.

I think the emergence of O'Hara, Moss and to some extent Williams has certainly allayed some of my concerns about pace in the Dogs' line-up.

I reckon it's a 50/50 proposition at this point?

What are the Bays injury concerns at this point? I heard Ty Allen was sore...

Also, what's the latest on Adam Switala, is he a chance?
