Tubby Assistant Coach @ Broadview

Postby Rooster Chic » Thu Sep 25, 2008 1:44 pm

Daryl Wintle has signed to be assistant coach and play at Broadview Tigers for 2009. Great news for the club i think! Now we are just hoping we do not get relegated to div 2 because one of those teams don't want to come up to div 1

S.Leal has signed up to be player/coach at Broadview and will take some players from Freeling with him as has been reported in the Herald newspaper. Darryl Wintle also mentioned in same article as going with Leal.

Me thinks S Leal will not have the same funding available at Broadies that he had at Freeling. I wonder what difference that might make!

its been a silly rumour which i dont know how is started, but there was never any thought of staying down in Div 2. What does it say of your footy club if it doesnt want to be tested in the highest possible division? This issue can be put to bed, SHOCs will be going up to Div 1 next year and there was never any thought to stay down.

I think the Broadies mob are unfortunately clutching at these though...
