Has Seelander been announced as Willaston coach yet ? i heard from a very reliable source Steve Connelly had the job in the bag .... been told of some " big " names that have been approached by the Donnybrooks for 2009 in a bid to take there young list to the next level.

Thats good oil Hafey. Tough deal to be done, but we some tanunda-esk business strategies for next year... the year of the tiger.

Seelander has the willaston job.

thats a big call for a club that has made an art form out of losing prelim finals stirlo. I think gc have lost 5 of the last 10

John Doe your stats suggest a 50% ratio of progressing into a Grand Final . Not to bad , alot of clubs would be more than happy with that ratio.

hafey they have played in 5 prelim's in the last 10 years & won zero, if you're happy with that ratio then you must enjoy the mediocrity of finishing third
opinions are like armpits, everyone has them & everyone else's stink!

I think it is about time you had some respect for Brant, for what he has done for the club over the past
two years i think he deserves a bit better then to told nothing........................

He spoke with the club two weeks age and wanted to know his future, asking that he be informed by the end of the week (Before GF), as to the time of this posting nothing. If the club wants to go with a new coach, so be it (Silly Move) let the bloke know so he can apply his trade at another club.......... Spineless Tigers.

If the club is going to appoint Matt Slade after the SANFL GF well and good but tell Brant that.

Brad Taylor (GC) signed at Modbury

The club is bigger than one man and Brant has been told that he can wait until the club is ready to make a decision... unlike the barossa's and souths of this world we are not stupid enough to make such an important decision without exploring all options first, which can take time..

Its ok if we have bafoons like you taking cheap shots at us because you can't understand this logic, we know that is what makes you special.

Shame about tails, we wish him well.

Stirlo, If the club wants to look at other options well and good, but dont you think the club should tell Brant that, instead nobody has spoken to him............. sends an uneasy message to all players
Brazza take my advice LEAVE the club and its Kingsley style management behind.

Brad man , Successful football clubs are run like a business and tough decisions have to be made for the well being of there future. Why would Gawler Centrals sever ties with Brant until a suitable replacement is found ? If there dream coach isnt out there they have him to fall back on. Simple as that !

The message it sends to the players is , the club is looking for the best possible applicant to guide them to success and they will leave no rock unturned.

Your comments belittle your knowledge of the greatest game on earth.

Agree Hafey successful clubs are run like a good business, so would is make good business pracitice to honour the handshake that was made with Brant that they would let know either way by the end of week.(2 weeks ago)

Let me make this very easy for you to understand Halfwit Hafey, It is not the decision if he stay or goes. It is that if you say you are going to do something do it. Then they can all get on with life

I believe Both A Gradeand B Grade coaches told today they are not required for next year, A Pyke (Reserves) & M Brant (Seniors).

Brad Man, I understand what your are saying about at least sticking to their word and a fair argument, but that respect has to be reciprical, I believe Brant was going to have a crack at the Broadies gig or even an Underage gig at Sturt, and the club didnt hear this first hand from Brant (so I am told from someone at the club, but happy to be corrected if I have been given the wrong info)...

I guess both parties just trying to do whats best for them, and thats business, and I dont have a problem with the way either party went about it!

Dont forget that Brant was also let go at a previous club after getting them to a GF so something obviously doesnt quite sit right in his delivery.

As for GC's prelim record, perhaps these changes are because of that, they maybe will no longer settle for 3rd spot. Plus they would only have a handful of players involved in those prelims.

From the outside looking in GC's are taking big steps on and off the field, a team to watch in 2009.

To frightened to give the best assets (players) a harsh word when they do wrong.
The coach getting to close to the players thing has hurt Gawler Central before and someone needs to know where to draw the line. Players doing the wrong things but being rewarded are bad eggs in a football club, if my mail is right then Gawler Central need to find someone before it gets worse.

Taylor has not signed anywhere Brad Man, come on champ thought u were better than to say things on here that are not true!

Interesting B&S you say its a player-coach issue, was that the same at his previous club??
Not being able to discipline players, well thats obvious from some off the on-field arguing, blokes like King (club games record holder) are the biggest culprits!!

Be sad for the comp if Taylor goes, yet it will be good for us other supporters knowing he wont be around to slaughter us in the future...

Interesting times ahead for the Tigers!

Looking at your previous posts i have come to the conclusion you must be a female ' big ' shrek. We encourage female opinions on this site and its great to get views from the other side of the fence. Your posts now all make sense , my misses carrys on like that when she is on the blob so its nothing new to me . You wouldnt be the first female either to be obsessed with Ivan Silvy , you do mention him alot.

Either that or its a shocking case of small man syndrome.
What i dont know about football isnt worth knowing .

Tanunda undefeated senior premiers for the BLG... Dont care what anyone says about the money getting paid out to players, load of crap that Tanunda pay the most, anyhow we have had a great time celebrating and this is something money cant buy!!! Party hard!

Soon we will focus on 2009... Bring it on...

Interesting.. well it looks like they'll be getting a couple of guns back for next to nix next year in Kane Irvine and Daniel Seiber. As far as I know they won't be going on at PNU next year.

I believe there was some pressure for them to go back this year for Tanunda's 100 (or is it 150) celebrations but decided to stay on in town. Bad move in hindsight.

Excuse my ignorance but did Brett Richardson end up back at Tanunda.. I know Bluey did..

Hafey you astound me! Your comprehension skills don't allow you to understand:

1)that making 5 of the last ten prelims means does not mean that team made the GF the other 5 times.

2)full backs don't get paid per goal.

However, you have managed to deduce that I am a woman! Stick to the basics big fella.

Skip - Im not biased, SJ coached me at TTG, I went on to play a lazy 18 league games for Norwood and Centrals, I know that those 2 clubs aren't as big as your beloved Tanunda, but SJ is highly regarded in the junior ranks at both clubs. So obviusly I dont know what I am talking about, but any coach that arrives at a club that is already bottom with 4 import spots not filled and beats all sides above him in the top 4 bar Tanunda, I would say that he has more than done his job at Ango finishing a creditable fifth with kids. To me this is a grudge that you and the LATE Blockie have on this bloke since he has arrived at Ango. SJ has moved on with the LATE Blockie, so why dont you confirm your love for Tanunda that has become intimate since the Ango - Tan stoush and move onto another coach!!!!!!!!!.

I have heard this to Toronto, also heard Hadden favourite for job even though 12+ players could be on the move if he gets the job and the committee know Hadden stabbed SJ in back for 2 years and still looks like the favourite. Appears he will have same impact as Sealander will on Willaston, i.e. Baker boys, McLeans and Coghill leaving. Willaston guaranteed wooden spoon with Ango close second.

Well I'm biased and I admitted that and made no comment for that reason. As for the blockie thing I certainly do not support them or have anything to do with them so keep guessing where I come from, the only hint I will give is that I try not to talk about my club that I'm currently involved with. If I was following the blockies don't you think I would be on this site absolutely giving it to you and basking in glory.

I heard Ribbo was staying at North Clare and that he has been approaching some players in the BLG to go up with him as they are offering some reasonable dollars. It would be good to see him back at the Nuri Tigers, they need him.

Heard a whisper today that the Bombers have approached Greenwood to be a playing coach.
