I'm not sure about that - Morphett Vale has gotta be at least 20km from the CBD; Box Hill would be less than 15.
It's interesting, the grass is always greener. Everyone here is filthy about the trains; massive discontent over peak hour chaos at Flinders Street and regular sardine can journeys to and from work. Also, the new Eastlink toll road linking Frankston to the Eastern Freeway is highly unpopular.

Yes. I usually avoid Toorak Rd at all costs and go around via High St or Malvern Rd if heading into the city, but since we moved away from Malvern to live in the Dandenong Ranges, and I arranged to work in the outer east, instead of South Melbourne, the traffic hasn't been much of a problem as we rarely go into the CBD.Strawb07 wrote:I live here and my wife and i moved back in 05 and we dun want to leave. I prefer Werribee and Geelong to Melbourne but it doesn't bother me. Melbourne can be a C**T of a place to drive around in the Inner Eastern Suburbs. I know this because of my job i move around Melbourne a little bit. The Northern and Western suburbs of Melbourne are great. Melbourne is a great place to work and live plenty to do here.
