Just been to see Shane Maslin in hospital after getting crunched in the B grade GF by Nick Work; he was a bit short of breath and sore ribs, thought they could be fractured but had a punctured lung!! Showed a lot of guts to come back on in the last quarter with that injury. Docs diagnosis is to take it easy for a week or 2 (not hard for the most relaxed man in the hills) and no flying or scuba diving for a while. Wish him all the best with his recovery.
We want Vaughn.

The Raiders are off to Melbourne over the long weekend. first trip to a big city for quite some time, will be interesting to see if we can keep all the lads together. Talk of heading to Flemington for the races, should be a good trip.

baazw - good mate of mine spoke to 3 Mt Lofty guys after the GF and they told him they had had enough and were going and that there were 3 or 4 more who were definites. Their biggest concern was that only 3 players are allowed to go from one hfl club to another hfl club in a season.

from what i've been told a few of the blokes that are looking at going didn't play at all this year, so not sure if that effects the HFL rule or not.

Jake Bowen and Aaron Roche of Blackwood in final 12 on SAFM Hottest Footy Home Boy at safm.com.au. Plenty of TV boys entered but didn't make it, also McDonald of Mt Barker. Voting is considered in deciding winner....My advice, ignore these blokes who love looking at themselves with their shirts off and vote for young Jake Norris of Ironbank!

It's always the way after you win a flag. A few blokes who got left out or missed out get a bit bitter towards the club, but you have to look at Mark Blake from Geelong. Missed out last year and has the chance to nab a flag on the weekend and used missing out as a spur to edge him on during the season.
