that's the one that i heard . what position does he play, how good etc?

Chris McLean is a gun. Heard the other McLean may also be going, as well as a recently delisted Centrals reserves player, and a mate of his at a northern suburbs club.

A great show put on by the willaston football club, early estimates from the league suggest a record crowd was in attendance, shame about the wind, but a fantastic spectacle in magnificent surrounds.

Be interesting to see what the postmortum finds on Nelsons bulldogs, drop in personnel and no cookies left in the barrell might see them fall quickly from grace.

Well done to the Tanunda Magpies for what has to be one of the most dominant performances of a senior football competition. Hopefully it will only be an once off.

Stirlo, Whats happening with the coaching position/s down at your club, G Cents??

I hear they are looking around, and the further time goes by the more likely Brant will not be re-appointed! Maybe a trend with him, didnt he get the arse at seaton after getting them to a GF. Rumour going he applied for the Broadie job or is linked to a juniors job at Sturt!!!

Surely you can enlighten us!!!

Brandt did have a previous assistant role at PHOS with Duane Massey who is coaching Sturt res., maybe they will sqeeze him in there doing something. He seems to have trouble keeping a job at one club for more than a season or two, probably falls short in a couple of critical areas. He's not frightened to apply for any job going, he comes across OK at interviews

As i said previously the club will be keeping its options open as long as possible, if Brandt decides to move I am sure we won't have much trouble attracting a coach after playing off in a preliminary final and having both junior grades play off in a GF.

Heard a interesting rumour at the Alberton last night. Matt Slade looks like suiting up for Gawler Centrals in 2009 , the deal is to involve Luke Cowan as a playing coach with the option of 1 other Central Districts players to fill the vacant import position.

Stirlo yo are the man in the know down there at Tigerland , can you shed any light on this ?

Has Seelander been announced as Willaston coach yet ? i heard from a very reliable source Steve Connelly had the job in the bag .... been told of some " big " names that have been approached by the Donnybrooks for 2009 in a bid to take there young list to the next level.

South Gawler coach Damien Herzick will be lucky to remain at the helm before 2009 comes around , a few past premiership players from the 1990 , 1992 , 1993 dynasty want him ejected from the coaches seat in a bid to lift this once powerful club back to the glory days of yester year . It has been something South Gawler has wanted for a long time in getting some of there former greats back to the club .
What i dont know about football isnt worth knowing .

I wouldn't think that you should be so hopeful that you will find an edequite replacement out there Stirlo, obviously your not on his wagon. The only real incentive to go to GC for an outsider would be if they had to train their grayhound. Maybe you could get Plugger Locket out of retirement, why not let Ricky Ponting or Bing Lee try their hand.

Not sure if its already been mentioned but S.Leal has signed up to coach/play at Broadview next season and Darryl Wintle has gone with him after leaving North Adelaide. States in this weeks Herald that S.Leal is taking some other players with him.

How did Brad Valentine go with Kapunda this year? and what possie did they play him?

Saw him watching his old side HW Eagles win the APFL flag on Saturday, he was a gun in that league and played State country.
