Does PL footy really need the Tigers, after last years efforts I'd say no. It's a bye anyway, might as well just call the day off and go fishing!![/quote]

Mallee's thought the umpiring was fine, they were chanting "Pappy" towards the end...

Good day all round i thought. Got there half way through the 17s and that was a real cracker. Thought rangers played too many of their old blokes and not enough young lads got a run but well done to Tasmans they just wanted the ball more. The biggest highlight in the As was the ABC commentary. It was great to watch the game and have commentary of what was going on in the ute behind us. good to see Martys husky voice held out for the whole game

And GG I dont think we will be fased if you come back or not

I had a few people say they havent seen a crowd like we had for a very long time.

I dont think anyone minded seeing the peckers go down after the performance they and the supporters put on by the sounds.
No body likes Waybacks simply for the image they portray that they (bluestheboy) are the goodies of the PLFL and have never and would never put a foot wrong. cue bluestheboy.
Bluestheboy even kicked his mrs out the bed on saturday night to make way for minya

The Craig Bascombe v Rodney Johncock confrontation after the match was the highlight of my day. Some real intelligence used there!

my uncle is a cop and they got called to MPFC 20 times on saturday night to sort out fights and near riots then the pantry later same thing.

At the end of the day, the matches have been played, the flags have been one, and nothing's going to change that.

And there's a very good reason the umpiring is not of a great standard in this town.
That is because umpiring is a second commitment for those who take on the role. They have full-time jobs, and lives to lead, and they don't have the time to commit to improving themselves, and second, with the heckling they get, why would they want to bother.

1) Congrats to our U13 lads

2) Congrats to Tasmans in the magoos. From what I hear we didn't turn up to play and Tassies were far more committed. A big turn around from the last couple of games played between these two sides. Disappointed I am.
Does anyone have the records of premierships won in the 'B' grade say over the last 20 years. It would be littered with Tasmans and Rangers flags

3) Well done to Waybacks - another for the trophy cabinet out there. There were not many of us that picked them to win. The word I used at the start of the year in assessing Mallee Park's premiership chances was "implode". I rekn I was right. Would have loved to have been there to see the game and the implosion explosion.
Equally impressive would have been their U17's. See the "Club" got it right and played Ben in the A's and yet the U17's still won.
Bit like the mighty Port Adelaide Magpies - you might not like them but gee you have to respect their history and what they are as a Club.

For the rest of the teams - there is always next year

Heard the game called over the internet in Darwin. It was sensational being able to listen live. The commentators did a great job but the bias was towards MP. The line dropped out for 3 minutes late in the game (when Kano kicked 3 in 3 mins). When it came back on line listeners were told some (MP) kids had climbed up and pulled out the wires from the broadcast area. Typical I thought.
Great result to Rosco and his team. 05 repeated. As long as MP keep selecting B'OR, FK and the likes they are easy picking in GFs. They might work that out one day. Congrats to Minya playing his 100th. What a fantastic season mate!

BTB, all I wrote was what most of the Pt Lincoln football community thought, tosser.
Having said that, I'm absolutely stoked that MPFC lost.
NOT that Waybacks won, but because MPFC lost.
They are the most undisciplined bunch of football people I've ever seen.
I had the displeasure of standing next to some MPFC supporters, and god they're a bunch of peanuts.
Well done to Tasman B's, the best side of the past few years winning the flag, well deserved.
Although Mark Milton... you suck.

correct me if i'm wrong MP but have MR won the last couple of B grade flags?? If they have wouldn't that make them the best side of the past few years??

And your point?
The "best" side doesn't always win the flag.
Think back to.... Saturday....
Mallee's have been the best side all year...
They weren't the best side on that one day...
Does that mean the still weren't the best side all year?

mick malthouse once said big reputations are made in finals, and the great players play well in grand finals.. MP no-one remembers who was the best team, they remember that waybacks have their name in the books.

and how much does finishing on top of the ladder mean when you dismally loose the grand final in a display of sheer undiscipline by 5 goal after being the best team since mortlock and your name is remebered as waybacks bogie side.. sweet f all ay dermie!! haha nice..

sherrin you must stand the same height as mp, i'm not even talking about the a grade you tosser, i say well done to Rossco a good man with a big heart and not having seen him in a while his girth has increased to :) My point is that mp says that tassies have been the best side in reserves footy over the last three years yet they have only managed to win 1 flag in that time :? I hope that is down on a lower level for you two to understand
