I am told favourite son Ben Walton is top of there wish list along with Steven Brooks coming back from Alice Springs , Jeremy Johncock & Allan Jones , Craig Field & Des Deuter.

Geez, Hafey. You haven't heard that, you pulled those names out of your bum. A few older blokes in that list too. Are they all you can remember before the dementia kicked in?

How many of those blokes do you reckon like Seelander?

Ben Walton wont play at Willaston, they have been trying to get him for a couple of years now...
To cozy in a coachs role at North!!!

Old Moz, I think Freelings big dollars were spent in the first couple of years they played in GF's, not so this year...

Heard there could be some player movements between Gawler Centrals and Salisbury North over the break, players going in both directions.

And I heard a whisper Daniel Thomas (Barossa) would be in another league next year as player/coach something like Two-Wells (but I cant remeber the club I was told).

I also beleive there may be a few more coaches moving than people expect... And I beleive some posters on here maybe able to shed more light on the matter!

Should be an interesting day on the Willaston oval, as some have mentioned great playing surface but s""thouse atmosphere. Seelander 100% to Willaston, hear that Ango have had several applicants including Stafford demanding $20K, hope they get a good coach who can bring in some quality imports to bolster the young men there. Sounds as though Freeling are struggling to find anyone. The rumour at South is that the players want McGree who plays in their reserves to coach. Good luck to all sides on Sat.

Gee for 20K it would want to be Stafford from Richmond and he would want to be bringing Richo and co with him.....

Why are Freeling struggling to get a coach?

My guess is Barossa have had the same $ spend approx over the years, so just guessing who spent the most from the other clubs...

The talk is Freeling were going through $100k + change per year...
But I have a sneaking suspicion that with all the chip ins from sponsors etc, Tanunda have surpassed that mark...

EVERYONES THOUGHTS???

LC Freeling in 06 & 07 where way above everyone else on $104K, Barossa & Blockies nowhere near that mark despite what everyone thinks, both paying out about $50K this year, incidently so did Willaston (approx $45K). Freeling would have been up there this year but their payed players all got injured saving them a packet.

Boozehound Freeling are struggling to get a coach because their base squad is not good and simply no one wants to coach them, plus their bulleting of Leal has not gone down well in the footy community. However just go for a drive around Freeling and have a look at the grain crops this season, I'm sure there maybe an injection of funds to come in around Jan.

Went to Willaston today, very windy day. Tanunda kicked with the wind first and was about five goals up at quarter time. Barossa came back and were behind 10.3 to 12.1 before Tanunda kicked the last 2 goals of the quarter. Then the scoreboard was changed, Barossa only had 9 goals. Tanunda kicked away in the 3rd and basically put the game out of reach, about 11 goals up and Barossa's body language was no good. Barossa kicked a few late goals and Commane took a few good grabs but lost by about 6 or 7.

Very sketchy list of BPs would be Greenwood, Kaesler #5 and #3 for Tanunda. For Barossa Christie, #6.

Excellent display of skills on show today. Didn't hang around for the presentations, would be surprised if Kennedy didnt pick up BOG - was fantastic playing at both ends of the ground kicking 5 or 6. Greenwood was also good kicking 4 or 5, whilst wielding his meat axe around. Shrek - Newberry had a dirty day got tagged, wouldn't have got a kick in a street fight going on todays form.
P.S - a little disapointed with the lack G.F atmosphere that Willaston provides.

Was Newberry #3? Like I said it was a sketchy list. I just noticed he did find some space on the wings. Tanunda did use the space better than the Bulldogs.

Just saw the BPs on countryfooty.com.au and Kennedy did get BOG. The general consesus around the place was for Greenwood though. I thought Kaesler was invaluable doing a Ryan O'Keefeesque job working hard across half forward and even going into the ruck.

Noticed in the budget that big Will Grosser plays for Tanunda but I didn't spot him on Saturday. He played some league for West Adelaide and made the State U23 team while playing for Goodwood but it said he was the back up ruckman. From his photo it did look like he'd put on some weight and he has a shocking kick so maybe that's why. Perhaps ruckwork isn't as important as the stuff one can do around the ground in general play in the country.

Big Shrek, Grosser did play in Tanunda's reserves and kicked 2 very important goals. Great display from both clubs in the a grade, very good fast & clean game with both sides respecting each other. The better side won for the season. The Blockies did not choke 151, in fact they excelled.

The biggest news for the day was heist of the bay 13 tent and the deposit left behind. Apparently the blockies have copped the blame but perhaps the doggies should be looking in redleg country. It would appear both the red & blues combined through the night to pull off the amazing heist, no love lost between the redlegs and barossa.

I didn't pay much attention to the Bs Skip, just surprised he's not in the As.

I heard someone laid a big turd were the tent was.

The tent was taken, although the left the frame there, apparently they searched the entire surrounds , vanished without a trace... and yes there was a deposit left for the goods!!!

Congrats to the Maggies, played good footy all year. Congrats must also go to the management at the club, all the planning for their centenary year, not just trying to buy players in for one year, this has been a few years in the making.

Waiting for Bag & Sledge to, well, Bag and Sledge...LOL...

Now lets see all the musical chairs of player movements!!!

Hey dukey, I'm not surprised by the lack of atmosphere, I didn't bother going coz I just don't enjoy going to Willaston. If the skills were as good as you suggest, maybe I should've gone

Well another prediction right from the top shelf.

Congratulations to the Box Heads at Tanunda, its going to be a big week ' on the gas '

Some rumours doing the rounds regarding player movements already , Sounds like a tent wont be the only thing that has left and a steaming turd left .

Old Moz an absolute classic with the tent heist, apparently an opportunistic steal from what I hear. They probably went a little too far with the deposit that was left behind. Barossa are fuming about the heist and I don't think we have heard the last of it from them.

JD you said that you did not attend the game but I'm sure that I saw you down at the Barossa box commentating the game and I'm sure giving them some of your valuable insight into country footy.

Big Shrek I think Grosser came to the blockies half way through the season. It sounds as though his A grade days are over especially with the big men that the Blockies already had on their A's.
