wow, 1750 - that's what I pay for approximately 17.5 months of private heath insurance (i guess you are not privately covered im sure the waiting list was an option for you at no charge, but I can understand why you would not want to wait)...
sorry fc that bill must have hurt bigtime, almost as much as the op itself.
RIP my DH 1964 - 2009 - You were one of the best and I miss you

The security at the Adelaide Oval today - it took 4 security people to grab the chick (after she had already hopped back over the fence) while leaving it to one security guy (who did a half-assed job, letting the guy get away once) to struggle with the bloke. They are too lazy to even go onto the oval to get rid of the invaders.

Had a pair of wonky glasses, so this morning I drop into a shopping centre to get them fixed.

Visited two optometrists. The first disappeared with the glasses, came back ten minutes later and said he didn't have the right doo-hickeys to fix them. The second disappeared with the glasses, came back in ten minutes and said that the doo-hickeys required aren't used anymore so the frames couldn't be fixed.

And now - and this is the bit that sh!ts me right off - now I have a pair of wonky glasses WITH A CHIPPED LENS.

Some days you just wish it was legal to punch people....

Sales calls. (And while I'm on the rant, the secretary being out of the office ALL THE TIME, meaning I have to answer the bloody phone!)

Caller: "Hello, can I speak to name of CEO"?
Me:"Hi, can I ask who's calling and what the call relates to?"
Caller: "It's business"
Me: "I'm sorry, can you provide more information? Have you dealt with name of CEO before"?
Caller: "Yes"
....
....
more pause
....
Me: "Unfortunately, name of CEO is very busy, can you send us an email at address and we'll do our best to deal with your business query"?
Caller: "Oh, we don't like sending unsolicited emails"

[CEO walks into the office]

Me: "Oh, well we don't like receiving unsolicited phone calls, but thanks for your time. Goodbye"

CEO cacks himself and says I would have just told them to F***-Off!
