Well done to Willunga. On a small oval in windy conditions that was going to be the best chance that any team ever had of beating Willunga in a GF but it wasn't to be. Any Willunga retirements?

Now I am looking forward to the rumour mill cranking up about 09 and also looking forward to the anicipated footy trip next weekend. Compass and the Saints in Mt Gambier at the same time. They beat us on the field but I think we can turn the tables off the field.

how good is willunga!!! 5 premierships in a row! will they ever be beaten?? dave hams sensational effort to kick 10 goals in the GF, now holds the club record with his father chris hams for the most goals in a season of 132 goals!! amazing!!

the b grade what a effort to turn around the last 2 clashes against strath, to keep them 2 1 goal... they smashed them!! when no1 rated them a chance. enough cannot b said for how much a performance like that inspires there a grade!! having had a look the willunga b grade side has won 6 out of the last 8 premierships and hasnt missed a GF since, 2000!!

how will sides approach the mighty demons in 09??

Congratulations to our Junior Colts on a convincing win yesterday =D> ... Got off to a great start and continued on through the whole game.

Congraturlations to Strathalbyn Senior Colts who fought back in the last minute to win from McLaren.... Our boys couldn't have given much more... they gave their all and after a few weeks in the finals of very close games just had nothing left in the tank. A 4 point loss is nothing to be ashamed about, and Gianni and the boys can be very proud of thier achievements this year =D>

And congratulations to Willunga on their A's and B's. =D>

RUMOURS - Bazz PILMORE is not required at South as his style is 'old school' and will not get a second interview. Go figure. 5 in a row, would it matter what your coaching style is?

Hill from Morphies to apply for either the Willunga or McLaren job.

Twigden and Spinks to be turfed from the Valley.

Jelom to coach gymnastics at special olympics for 2012.

Compass to fully stock canteen for 2009 season.

Great work indeed by Bazz, but in no offence at all to bazza, he has had an awesome list to choose from for the last 5 years. But there is still a job to do, to keep all players interested and not get complacent and he has done that perfectly!

Ellbourne will step into the role of Ruck coach i think. His vast knowledge and understanding of ruckwork which helped improve a learning Smith at P/Hills this yr will be a great aquisition for Darren.

Could someone like Dave Menner be an option at the Bay if the Para Hills bloke gets the gig? His old man lives at Goolwa so that could be an easy transition for him.

Lets not have a go at Compass. Please remember that they built their oval on the side of a hill and didn't allow for parking, so ordering food for a canteen would be like rocket science! What were the crowd numbers like? Is it possible that the Compass people didn't realise that Willunga had supporters, hence the lack of food?

I THINK HE WILL BE A VERY HANDY AQUISITION FOR ANY TEAM LOOKIN TO STRENGTHEN THERE B AND C GRADE SIDES.... AS I THINK HE WILL STRUGGLE TO HOLD DOWN A SPOT IN OUR RESERVES SIDE NEXT YEAR.. I THINK ENCOUNTER BAY WILL REAP THE REWARDS FROM 1X N.MAMEROW... HIS INPUT WILL BE DEARLY MISSED AT PARA HILLS...

HEARD BEERY HAS OFFERD HIM $300 PER GAME PLUS INCENTIVES TO COME UP TO ENCOUNTER WITH HIM? ANY TRUTH BEHIND THIS BLACKCAT?

Wow $300 per game. That would be a big suprise. Dont know the guy, but to warrant $300 you would want to have some credentials. Is there more than Div3 football on his resume?

well done to the junior colts they were too good, bad luck to the senior colts a great effort but strath were just better on the day, but can hold heads up high, 1 kick in it, Willunga B grade do it again to another side come the GF, Left A Grade half way through 2nd quarter game was over, strath were ordinary in both grades, but were the best of the rest all year and did deserve a crack at the gf, does anyone know why eagleton didn't play?

 shoe boy....

Hopefully they will be coming into better use next year than tee towels in the kitchen!!

We are very clever  and didn't date the shirts so that they will be forever useable :D

2009 maybe :D

I beleive Eagleton had groin issues and botched medical intervention left him without feeling in one leg. Was literaly a last minute omission.

The lack of car parking wasn't an issue at Compass. Just parked in the streets and walked in. Gates at both ends of the ground. No big deal. Sitting on the side of the hill meant that it was easy to find a good spot to watch the footy and the atmosphere along the clubroom side was amazing. It was like stadium seating.

No crowd on the outer side was disappointing but only because photos from the day look as if there was no one there. Catering was average. Ran out of most things before the A grade (including toilet paper).
