Now there's an extensive list from over a century of Cricket LOL. You could throw in Andrew Hilditch as well I guess but Border and Thommo were both in the Aussie side before they went to Qld and the Don had a Baggy Green before he got the Baggy Red.

45 Shields can't be wrong. The Blueboys make the Port Magpies look like Fremantle. Meanwhile, I reckon the Redlegs will salute before the Redbacks.

Excuse for thinking like this
But its almost as if Roy didnt wanna go to India
He may have been or recieved some intimidation about being there
Perhaps the whole fishing fiasco was done to avoid going to India ?????????????

I'd be shattered if the tour is cancelled because it's Watto's time to shine.

SUNRISE DUMBA55 SPORTING COMMENT # 437

From the Carlton idiot who lives in Qld (Jimmmy whatever his name is)

"I don't think they'll worry too much about Roy, he is 33 years old. Maybe it's time to develop youth".

Stick to fellating Chris Judd or carpping on about Thugby League. A cricketer is in his prime in his mid thirties . Accoring to this geniear5e just because Andy goes fishing we should let him play out his career with the Bulls while the Aussie team gets crunched because yet another experienced player is not suiting up.

Honestly what a Goose!

NOFFKE [-X

Reports that our boy NOFFKE is upset at his non selection for the Indian tour
2007-2008
51 wickets @19
741 runs at 46-31
After being picked to tour WI NOFFKE is considering his future after being overlooked for Peter SIDDLE

OK I can understand NOFFKEs frustration
What I dont like is the emotional blackmail being bandied about by NOFFKE
NOFFKE QUOTES ADVERTSIER 20//09/008

_______________________________________________________________________________
...and now eyeing off the big money of lucrative Indian 20/20 leagues
" I have to now start to think about where I am placed and how much money I can earn to look after my family."
" There is the IPL and the ICL and they are on my mind. Absolutely."
________________________________________________________________________________

Yeah OK he is a bit stiff missing out
But do what Simon Katich did, go back and perform in the Domestic comps
And dont piss off his fans by sulking and talking up the IPL/ICP bastaadisation comps

If I remeber correctly, didn't the KAT also have a bit of a public vent about the selectors a few years ago. I know Brad Hodge did and It really hurt his chances of being picked...possibly ever again.

Think Noffke has now done any chance he had of playing but to be honest reading his story and comments I reckon he has a fair case, but the blonde bombshell is back and evidently fit so he was always going to get the dig in front of Noffke, for reasons I still struggle to work out

I hope we get smashed Mal to send a message to the selectors to start picking the best side and not Pontings bum buddies. How the F**K did Watson get picked wouldnt be in our top 20 batsmen or top 20 bowlers, although by all reports he is a top bloke to have around the team and is a dominant 20/20 player so i guess he will be a vital part come late in the tour.
Casson must have had a nightmare debut in the W.I to be overlooked after one test, Hilditch has come out and said his bowling wouldn't suit indian decks !!!, with that in mind why would we take him to the W.I when we have no intension of playing him in our next tour. Instead we will take two untried spin bowlers one at age 36 and one who cant get a regular game for Tassie and has a bowling average in the high 40's. F*****G Joke

CASSON I believe was injured on the Australian A tour ?

WATTO is being groomed as the batsman who might bowl a few overs [ala ROY]
NOFFKE is a bowler who makes handy runs
NOFFKE is not competing with ROY/WATTO etc
He is competing with BOLLINGER/SIDDLE

PS WATTO batting at 6 will be a failure in India, the spinners will make him look ordinary
Thats a shame as I reckon WATTO at 6 would make runs v South Africa.

Mal, Watson didnt make any first class runs for QLD last year and was on the brink of being dropped, If you are going to play a batsmen who can bowl a few overs just incase where in deep trouble or our four frontline bowlers find the conditions too tough I would rather play D. Hussey twice the batsmen, and I think his spinners would be just as valuble to Watsons mediums.
