I'm going for the upset this week, i reckon Strath could knock the demons off this week. With the weather thay are predicting i think they will pull an upset out of the bag.
Any daily double odds out there Mr Magoo or Jelom? Might put my money on Ellis for BOG and Strath!
Can't wait for the colts games. The seniors is going to be a great match and the highlight of the day for me. Hoperfully it's not too wet cause our boys failed misersbly when we went to Pongy during the year, But saying that, there is a bit more at stake this time around. The juniors should be quite close as all the games have been thus far in the finals. Our boys just need to focus and put their natural game together and should come home with the goods.

GO YOU EAGLES! \:D/ :-" \:D/

Yes... go you eagles... only 2 more sleeps !! :D

(Just noticed that the Junior Colts game starts even earlier again this week - at 9-30am)

LF and NWNW... I watched that show on SBS last night about the football team in Queenstown with the gravel oval home advantage :)

I loved it. I really loved how they showed the spirit of the place and based around the football team. The culture they have built up in their football club just made you want to have that for yourself. And the trainer lady... when she said "I have seen these boys grow up".... and how she treated them 'as her own'... reminded me of someone close to home.

And when they lost their last game, the tears from the guys, especially the ones 'retiring'.... things like that always get to me, I felt for them

One thing I did notice though.... No one went to ground very often

Anyway... thanks for recommending it, was well worth watching.

I wouldnt count on the weather predictions for Compass at the best of times but they do say showers will ease, will the ground already be soft, muddy or loose under foot by the time A grade play? The wind could still be a bit of an issue A-Mum.

It's just my 'wishful' thinking Kappars :D

The wind may be a factor indeed.....not to mention the fact that it may blow my red, blue and yellow streamers all over the oval

Thanks for the update O:)

No. 10 for Mclaren Flat D.Elliott would be Dennis who in 1979 moved to Langhorne Creek and was playing Coach for 6 seasons til 1984 when replaced by Phil Heinrich in 1985. Dennis won a 'Mail Medal' during this era and may have won one also with Mclaren Flat b4 that ??? An ex Strathalbyn jnr and Sturt League footballer he was my only Senior coach in my short career and currently resides amongst the vines at L.Ck growing quality grapes. :drinkers:

Also do Victor have a big anniversary in 2010? 125 years? Plenty of $$$'s going around for a premiership in 2010 from what i understand.

I rekn $am Mahomey from jervois and by the sounds of it all the gun jervois players will go with him, there all going to follow $am were ever he goes.baa baa.He must do sumfn rite or he must get the cash for these blokes coz by the sounds of it they all luv him.

dont think sam will come back to great southern, though stranger things have happened

I rekn you might be wrong there mate, time will tell.

i know he had an interview on tuesday night but he wouldnt tell me where or what league i guess your right time will tell, there was good cash at jervois but all those top teams in rmfl pay good cash. dont know if the same money would be available in gsfl or sfl, so would they take a pay cut to not travel as far and still play under him? and anyway hes got big ears

Re Mahoney, on another thread I think it was mentioned he was offered a Southern League job, i think it was Christies Beach, and he's now weighing that up with a counter offer from Jervois.

i spoke to sammy on tuesday he was laughing about how many places he was apparently coaching christies, morphies, victor, jervois, western sydney etc, as far as i gathered he is still coach of jervois like we said time will tell, but i couldn't get any info out him either way
