If Nelson took over at Centrals
A couple of things would be certain
They would be disciplined,.......... not like now with arguments happening on the field
Prima Donnas running around getting easy kicks in games that don't count.............they would be accountable
Blokes going on holidays................especially when finals are on, and expecting the players to fund his ticket home
Playing blokes in finals injured whio haven't played for 3-4 weeks............then leaving out a small who was in form against a opposition with one of the best small brigade going around
Dickheads by the coaching box with foul mouths abusing umpires and opposition.............more professionalism
Living in the past..................even though the past in your case is long long gone
Having probably one of the best lists over say the last five years..............and i think what twice been third ???
i can keep going if you want, but that will do for now

All good points 151, it almost sounds as though you might know something, but suggesting Nelson has all of these capabilities indicates that you don't... Nelson wouldn't last 3 weeks at GC.

If we'd had the quotas and the calibre of the imports barossa or freeling has had over the last five years they would have folded as a no contest. You can't buy respect in this competition and we will see the true strength and professionalism of barossa when they are broke and left with their local clan of rednecks to work with.

The 18 locals they had saturday did'nt do a bad job
Plus 2 of the Imports become locals next year as well
Barossa's first premiership........4 Imports
Last years premiership............5 Imports
This year.............Grand Final....... James Christie Thomas = 3 Imports
What was your argument again ???????????????
Nelson, all i said was he would change what i said, in saying that, it needs to change as it made your club look second rate.
As far as him staying 3 weeks, you are probably right, as he wouldnt't stand for the bullshit from your supporters, players of committee people getting involved with football which they have done and tried to do in the past.
I hope Brandt gets the job, but unless he tightens discipline on and off the field GS will continue to be a also ran

Sorry my mistake Spicer is the fourth import coming from Burra, apologies ( did play in the 2006 premiership )
Yes Commane is a local, played junior football there and was a member of the premiership 2 years ago

I have no problem with your perception of our supporters but unless you are starting with a blank canvas the coach can't change that behaviour and helpers are hard to find around footy clubs these days.

It is useless a coach having a view on how things should be done if he is not smart or strong enough to gain the support of management. So who gets the finger pointed at them for your assessment? Management or the Coach?

Seelander would be just what the doctor ordered for willaston.

We were hoping Ladhams might get the gig and raise bar sales, but the word is that he is in the front row with Prouse for Nuri.

Barrossa Imports 2006 – J.Turner, J.Nunan, A.Spicer, R. Christie, B. James, and haven’t included B. Coles (only played 1 game from memory and didn’t play finals)
2007 – R.Christie, B.James, J. Angus, D. Thomas, R. Brodhurst, P. Dempsey, A. Spencer

Surely you can't forget the great man Ivan Silvy he didn't live in the area.

Silvy played his junior footy at Willaston so therefore becomes a local.

Stirlo if Brant has done such a good job this season why hasnt the club re-signed him for another year?

I believe Brant was appointed by a board that had former coach Peter Vivian on it? is that true?

Holden i can tell you some committee members are giving it a "us or the coach ultamatum" and someone has to go. Its common knowledge herzick is not liked by many of the players ( in my eyes thats no big deal, not there to make friends with the players ) but sponsors , supporters and definately some committee memebers want to see the back of him. Intresting times ahead at 'The Den'

Over the bridge , hot mail is Steven Connelly has been appointed coach for 2008. Should hear something official once the Grand Final is out the way.

Hopefully Stirlo can shed some light on whats happening at Tiger Land regarding Brant.

Another tip this weekend from Hafey Hotel , Geelong.
What i dont know about football isnt worth knowing .
