I guess we will be contesting you regarding the services of him and obushak (if oby comes home from kadina)
Obushak will stay up there mate, has a place in Moonta Bay and is enjoying the fair coin he is getting.

Although I did have a chat to him at the game on Saturday.

Thought it was very good.
I really through mine together quickly
Hence alot of GG boys

Id have Jimmy K on the field ahead of Hoklas being our B&F and all. Very good season by Jay though.
Structually id have Scudds at FF with forthy in a pocket.

In all reality there will be lots of blokes very unlucky to miss out. Who is picking the official one?? Would be very hard to do going on best players alone and Goal Kickers alone. Lots of blokes would be given jobs or roles each week that they do brilliantly but arent necessarily recognised by having a name in the paper. Whereas at AFL/SANFL level this gets more recognition due to the huge coverage of games.

that would be a fair grab with forth on top of scudds head!!!!

Plympton have plenty of depth, winning the B grade. They will be a serious contender again next year.

Gee MD3, you have surprised me with your intellect and comments posted so far, good work. They have been serious contenders for a few years now, very similar to Smithfield who have finished 4th four years in succession, one of them after losing the first 6 games.

FS have you seen any Div 3 games this year? I thought it was a very good standard and although I haven't seen alot of D3 for a long while the top 4 or 5 sides would be very competitive in the D2 comp I saw quite alot of last year. Underestimate D3 at your peril those going up.

Zed man I enjoy your posts, in this case I was referring to FS statement earler in this segment when he answered an inquirey re the different grades. Appreciate this is a D5 forum but the question was asked and i endeavoured to put a response in from someone who knows the higher grades.

Definatley you seem to have a solid forward line and can cover Scudds if he does leave.... it really isnt much harder untill you hit div 2 and then its a massive jump from div 3.

Not under estimating the div 3 teams at all NW and you will find that the top few teams usually are competative in the next Div. I was stating that the jump from div 5-4 and 4 -3 is not as big as the jump from div 3-2 and as expected 2-1. GG have age on there side. if they can add some expereince and there kids grow they can be a force and move up the grades IMO. We at modbury went straight from 4-2 in 2 years as the standard was the same in div 3 and we even lost a few players in the div 3 year. when we went up to div 2 though we were hit and pushed around by the more experienced sides like TTG, Gepps Cross then the next year by PT Districts and Seaton. It takes a while to adjust to the next step.

And we had the opposite, went up with about 19 of the same 22 from 4-3 and went back down. I think height had a lot to do with it, height difference in teams from 4-3 is massive. Teams like Walkerville had talls everywhere, but you can get away with not having a tall side in Div 4 & 5, as Golden Grove are showing (minus Scuddsy, the rest of the team isn't that big). Ravlich would be the smallest CHF in Div 3 by a country mile.

Yes Zedman, tied up with the team that everyone loves to hate the mighty Chics. Thats why I can say I thought the overall comp this year was a fair way in what we played last year even though we obviously were very poor last year.

GG has always been undersized, that is why we used to struggle. But with a different game plan under the Supercoach we have been successful.

Height and bigger bodies are needed to ensure success in future year.
Rumor has it were investing in a Centre, and a Ruckman.
