Thanks for sending it through RM :D . Not too bad a draw for us we only have to travel to Sheidow and Coromandel the rest of the games are pretty close to us :D .

Ok Guys who does everyone think will win the flag this year, win the batting, bowling and hewett medals.

My tips are

South Road to be Premiers and 3 in a row

S Krutli to win the batting (if he is playing in the comp that is)

R Drenthen to win the bowling

Hopkins to back up again for the Hewett Medal

What does everyone else think?

Todd Roberts for bowling

Rusty Curyer for Hewett

I like the faith you both show in us Bazza and Sarge but we have lost a couple of players and ain't picked any up(as yet  ) . Sth Rd are the reigning champs and they deserve to be favourites IMHO.

Bazza have you heard anymore about Heath and Kurt going to play at brighton this year?

Any other movements anyone has heard of?

No havent heard anything else, looks like sarge might be out for the first game against us, but Sheidow always a tough match who ever plays for them, a lot of talent at that club, they should do well in there first year.

For premiers I'd suggest South Rd again unless they have lost a few. Batting wins you premierships more than taking wickets and they've got the best lineup.

Batting - One of the South Rd boys

Bowling - Sam Cheek (think he is improving and doesn't have other strong bowlers at Coro) mind you, Drenthen and Hopkins will definitely be up there

Hewett - Rob Hopkins

Have the numbers been good so far out to your clubs pre season training? We had a good turn out tonight of about 40. Lot of the young fellas too, which is encouraging.

Mate we don't get 40 out on selection nights let alone this time of year  . We have been getting about 15-20 people out to most trainings so far. A few new faces so far none that are going to be playing section 1 yet.

Ramblers a similar story. No new faces as yet. I don't ever remember 40 at one of our trainings in the last 15 years. Sounds very promising for North Haven in general, but that doesn't always translate into a strong section 1 side.

Your right AF, but with 6 sides, its very encouraging start to the season to try to fill 66 spots.

Think i'll say South Road for premiers.
Batting i will say Matt McGregor or Mcrae from Mitchell Park and Westminster respectively. If Matty decides to play for the whole season and not parts of it he could win.
Bowling i will say both Robs - Hopkins and Drenthen. Very good last year. Maybe Hopkins as has been more consistent.
Hewitt will go to McCrae if he does some bowling.

Not long to go know fellas. Getting itchy feet
