good junior games yesterday didnt hang round to watch the a grade but bad luck LF 3 weeks 3 points unbelievable, congrats to the 17s yesterday erik and evan my best with young natale and redigolo, not far behind. good luck next week to the 14s and 17s, dont know who to go for in the a and b grade, i think its probably got to be strath in the reserves and willunga in the a grade, i know that sounds wierd, but played against willunga in the reserves lost 2 grand finals (also beat them once) to them hate seeing them win it, but there a grade team is great to watch they play a good brand of footy and with only willunga and morphies left to win 5 in row i hope it happens in the great southern, if not both.
Hey king kernas how was the weather yesterday everyone in shorts and t shirts except a couple!!!!!

Good one HFTB! Yes it was quite hot yesterday , and wearing pants didn't make it any cooler. But it was more than the pants that was making KK a bit hot under the collar   !
How good did Mclaren oval look yesterday. Anyone know where the GF is held next year?

Last year I went into the clubrooms at Strathalbyn and they had a print out on their notice board of where all the grandfinals were going to be held for the next 10 years or so !!

So there must be a list out there somewhere.

Can anyone post it so we can have a look at it ??

O:)

Sorry mate didnt actually look for him! I didnt actually have a beer yesterday at all! However i did see some good footy.

Quality effort by Strathalbyn in that 1st qtr. LC jus couldnt match Straths pace or intensity at the footy. If LC according to one poster are the best team in tight at the stoppages they were pantsed at there own game yesterday. Strath get front and centre amazingly well and are very disciplined where there forward entries go and there crumbers in Mcdonald and Eagleton knew exactly where to be. Id seen enough by the end of the 2nd quarter as Strath were dominating that comfortably.

This week will be a huge weekend! Willunga and Strath in both senior grades will be a massive spectacle. I expect quite a lot of noise especially under the long verandah at Compass.

Kappars any long range forecast for the weather on Saturday?

While we have a couple of days before we crank up to the Grand Finals.

Who is coaching where?

What players are coming and going?

I have heard that Grant Levi has been hitting the phone pretty hard looking for a coach, as well as players.
Chris Ladhams ex Essendon, Crows and North Adelaide has submitted a few applications around the traps...moreso in the hills. Big $$$ though.

A lot of changes in the Southern so there will be a fair demand for coaches.
Jelom 19 could be looking, is a bit of a rumour...no credibility so will not go far.

Modra a certainty to return to Encounter Bay in 2009 after not being selected for Keith in the GF on Saturday. Ryan Smart not to return as he is moving back to the family farm at Keith.

Might have to dress a bit more appropriately for the occasion so i don't overheat :) ! But what do you wear when you're planning a day at the footy down at compass, you need to take summer clothes and also winter ones. Very strange place old compass, was driving through there two weekends ago, was awesome weather on willunga side of the hill, then as soon as we got near compass, you could'nt see five metres in front of you, was the thickest and eeriest(is that a word?) fog i've seen. Also on the radio that bloody Electric feel song was playing as we passed through, and then on the way home, the same song got played as we went through there again.
Was very Twilight Zonish 8-[ !!

Not so much a case of was not picked, he only played around 6 or 7 games for the season and was not avaliable for any finals matches apart from the GF, he never expected someone that has contributed all season and in the finals run into the GF to miss out so he could play.

Fair enough then ... so he was being 'a good sport' and not wanting anyone else to miss out O:)
(Did they/Keith win??)

Has he ever played in a GF yet... anywhere?? :)

(Sorry if that's a stupid question  )
