Is he that close to 200 anyway? I'd imagine he's a way off that yet, at least a couple of years.

I think a bigger carrot might be to avoid remembering his last league season for playing all year and then missing all the finals. No player deserves to play all year and lose his spot like that.

Graham - I reckon Swooper has had worse ends to the season ;)

I have another theory about next season in regards to Swit....

His form that season opened up the chance to get dropped. He was partly undone by injury doubts over key defenders but more so it was him who missed out simply because he was the least in form midfielder.

Swita's only hope of playing again this year is if he gets it operated on immediately and everything goes right re-hab wise over the next few weeks.
Hence he is being operated on tomorrow morning and my questions are
1. Will the Dogs survive long enough ?
2. Would Laird play him if he was right to go, in a GF ?

Our finals record has been atrocious in recent years!
The Dogs' finals record has been one of ( if not "the") best in recent years.
So I reckon we should turn that record on its head this weekend.
It's time.

would it be fair to say that the loser of this game would need a huge amount of luck to then recover to win the premiership ?

personally i don't think the loser could win the flag, make the grand final yes but win it no

off course there is that sturt hoodoo they have to contend with & for those that don't know it, it is that sturt haven't won a match at the adelaide oval since the resurfacing on it a year or 2 ago
i thought secret groups were a thing of the past, well not on websites anyway

I've had cause to bag him a bit in recent games but to his credit I thought he was very good last week.

Given that it's only happened once in the years that the Qualifying Final has been played - yes.

IF the Doggies DO lose the game, if any team is capable of getting up to win the flag from the 1st Semi Final, it's them, given it would be a huge effort though...
