It's div 5 not div 1 and he plays in the goalsquare now. Very different circumstances. I thought he tore it on the Tuesday before the GF that year. I'm not trying to call him selfish or anything, but he will think he can contribute at less than 100% fitness and back his team mates in to contribute at less than 100% too. We shall see who plays soon enough anyway.

Hope the Greenies boys get up. These GG posters seem like a bunch of nongs.

Sorry delayed response been away, Shrek minor details about tuesday or thursday point still stands DR wouldnt play unless he is able to perform at his current peak.( agreed current peak wouldnt be the same as 01) I will say this you keep harping on on various threads about the meaning of a premiership in various grades. I am playing in the C5 grand final tommorow and as i am approaching the end of my playing days and i am yet to win a premiership if i was to win one tommorow in this grade i will be content with that.
mate trust me they are few and far between and i have played plenty of losing games of footbal at Kilburn just like yourself and there will come a day when you also will feel as though any premiership you can be a part of will be special regardless of grade, not everyone can play div 1! I know that you havent. Best of luck tommorwo to all clubs in all grades in their respective GFs.

Thank-you for pointing that out tex.. Goodluck tommorrow

Don't get confused as to what I actually think when I'm simply in a shitfight with Bubbula. I think B and C grade premierships are great and well deserved for those involved. However, the B and C grades' primary function is to support the grades above them. A grade success benifits the entire club and this is what all grades should be working towards. Also when someone says a C2 GF is better than an Div 3 prelim I think it's a bit silly. Let's face it, if the standard of footy didn't matter then a C5 grand final would be as important as an AFL one. I'm not saying it's not important to those involved in it but in the scheme of things the A grade success that matters.

There is no doubt DR will pick his best 21. But that will be a subjective decision. An injured N Wright for example may be better than a fringe A grader. Obviously judging the effect the injury will have is difficult. All I have said is that if a player is injured but says he can do a good job Danny will back them to push through the pain and play well. Obviously this doesn't work for big injuries but where it's a 50/50 call, I reckon they'll play.

Good Luck to Golden Grove & Greenacres in the A's & Golden Grove & Plympton in the B's.

All 4 teams were the best teams in their grades for the year and all deserve a premiership.

Golden Grove v Greenacres

the two best teams in div 5 have found themelves in the grand final this weekend, as most good judges predicted early in the year..not without a scare to greenacres though, losing their first final and getting home hard in the last minutes versus a brave plympton last saturday..GG waltzed through smashing plympton at home and have had 2 weeks off soaking up the spring sun

greenacres have been afflicted with injuries throughout the year but have still bulldozed their way to victory with their great willpower, whilst the kookaburras have had injuries but these have not impacted on the team result through their marvelous depth..they have been like a rolls royce all year..except on two occasions..twice to greenacres :?

possible match ups would include mcarthy on forth, trevillian to again play back and pick up scudds..the biggest job of all on saturday, maybe they will play trevillian forward, just guessing :) if scudds kicks 4+ goals i think GG will win..with their other forwards and onballers kicking goals they will build a good score..so stop the bohemoth and you are half way to winning..bamford on ravlich? bielby on boxer? huson and tatkovic v simmons and hoklas, darkins v wright, tiss v shalehn..nice match ups..good players playing on each other = a grand game

greenies will love it tight and hard and will try to exert physical pressure from the start, getting everything they can out of the sore legs and bodies from a tough finals campaign..the wide wings of salisbury will be received kindly by the GG runners and their fresh legs and the puzzle gets harder to solve..grenacres need to straighten their shots on goal which have been dreadful, this must happen for them to win..even back to a 50/50 split will be better..GG have to deal with losing last years GF and whatever baggage that carries with it..the plot thickens

trying to decide on a winner has been very difficult and i have changed my mind several times..when i select a horse in a race and i cant decide between two horses, i often look in the form and see if one horse has beaten the other horse..if it has i will go with that horse if all factors are equal..my mind says GG by 6 goals..but my heart says greenacres have no fear of GG and in fact will be confident they can do the damage again..hold scudds to under 4 goals and they can win..best of luck to both teams and coaches..well done on your seasons performances

Greenacres 1-10

ps i was going to tip a draw but i thought that was a bit soft :P

I love grapes. With grapes, you always get another chance. You know, if you have a crappy apple or a peach, you’re stuck with that crappy piece of fruit. If you have a crappy grape, no problem-just move on to the next. ‘Grapes: The Fruit of Hope.
