As someone who has seen captains come and go at Willunga, I've only got one wish. That Minot brings back that Willunga "tradition" of wearing the old red jacket at the coin toss. Brilliant stuff...

Rumour has it that the red jacket will make a comeback, it's just down at the tailors getting amended due to Minot's heavy frame in football retirement!!

No doubt one of the saddest days in Willunga FCs history when Sergey retired. There was talk the superstar of the town was making a comeback this year, the 'itchy feet' had hit him but alas no Serge.

Message to Willunga CC. 'Do not let Serge go, build a side around him and enjoy the premiership success'

The day Minot bowls outswing is the day i play for Bangladesh, his erratic inswing is a keepers nightmare having to spend all day diving down the legside.

I do take my hat off to whoever keeps for Willunga when Minot is bowling because they must be agile.

when playing against willunga you often found the keeper would start on leg stump just to make sure there were no byes!! this meant the first slip often had a more important role to play when minot is bowling due to having to take the scrambled seem delivery (which has obviously slipped out of his hand) that goes straight!! there is also the ever to occasional delivery that hits the side of the pitch where the matting meets the grass and flies off to 1st or 2nd slip!! definatly not the safest spot on the field when minot is charging in!!

I must take the rap for that AFB...

I must have incorrectly clicked on "Post new Message" rather that "Reply" when I put the original comment in.

He's copping a fair bit isn't he?? Can anyone confirm that the Willunga Brain's Trust have in fact gone with Minot this year??

Any confirmation of A grade teams and / or early program?

As a keen follower of the Myer Shield and supporter of the hills, i was interested to know that Mr Minot Was a little dirty about getting run out for a DUCK in the first game at Meadows early in 2008. A man of this batting talent would of been shattered that his average was slightly adjusted because of this. Talking to a mate of mine he is still not over the incident... Best of luck and look forward to seeing you in KI....
