I'm thinking the same, similar to what Felch said in another thread. I wonder if they'll be so keyboard-happy if they don't win on Saturday.

Might struggle Saturday to see and mark the ball with multiple players with eye strains from staring at computer screens and rsi from keyboard typing

It's going to be interesting to see how the team of the year looks in next weeks budget, I hope they don't rely heavily on stuff written on here, we like to keep quiet about our good players. Now that the season is over for us, I'll mention a few that should come under some consideration.

Steve Taylor: For obvious reasons, had a great year
Damain Newman: Was rock solid in defense or on the ball
Todd Bond: Was brilliant at times, turned games around with a couple of quick goals, very smart player
Chris James: Was a large part of our resurgence in the 2nd half of the year, despite only being 17
Josh Considine: Hard as nails, can play anywhere, rarely beaten
Lucas Brown: Great hands, played some great footy during the year
Andrew Mathews: Because he reads this occaisionally and loves the attention, plus he likes my vest
Dave Hanley: Was a revolution when moved to full back, very disciplined defender

Hey zed, how about you put togethter a team, I doubt whether anyone takes as much notice of opposition as you. Naturally it will be dominated with Greenies & GG players.

Who would be candidates from some of the other teams?

We'll compare it to what we see next wednesday, I'm sure you'll be round the mark, it is hard though when you only see teams twice a year, players could've had boomers against you or put in poor performances.

We've had a pretty even spread this year, we haven't had many passengers for the journey, pretty much anyone that got elevated from the B's didn't look out of place, we can still take a lot from our season.

Only seeing a few A Grade games this year when the GG C's had a bye or forfeit and I saw both games we played against Smithfield and both times you blokes really had a dip and impressed me. You blokes seem to have a good base to build on, seemed disciplined which is always the way to gauge a good side and used the ball well. You should have a good year next year. Do you think you will keep most of your squad LM ??

I don't think we'll lose anyone, we had 6 under 18's get regular games in the A's, I'm sure they would've gained a fair bit from their experience this year, their bodies will be a bit bigger aswell. We had a very disciplined side.

Yeah those young kids growing into bigger bodies is the key to success too... Sounds promising for you blokes out there... :)

Half Forwards - Parish(BOS) Smith(Plympton) Greenshields(Elizabeth)
Centres - Hoklas(GG) Simmons(GG) Bamford(Greenacres)
Half Backs - Seaton(GG) Mcarthy(GG) Fairhurst(Smithfield)
Backs - Rogers(Plympton) King(Elizabeth) Carson(Rosewater)
Rucks - Salisbury(Kenilworth) Taylor(Smithfield) Boxer(GG)
Interchange - N.Wright(Greenacres) Kuhndt(GG) Stuart(BOS) Bielby(Greenacres)
Coach - Mitchell(GG)

well i put my pen to paper..dont hate..just opinions..as LM says sometimes players do or dont play well when you see them..i have all the major goalkickers and div 5 votegetters in there and a fair spread to all clubs exept cufc and i/farm who miss out..mitchell is the coach as he has guided his team into div 5 and straight through it to div 4..im sure some will want more from their clubs in there but its a tough job trying to fit everyone in and be sort of balanced

Gee that was quick, impressive though.

I thought Taylor would've been worthy of a start, we had two good full backs, Handley kept whoever he stood quiet, Considine kept Forthy to only a few touches til we needed him on the ball, Newman was a pretty solid defender this year aswell. Considine dfidn't play against you guys either time though.

I'd swap Smith & Ravlich over on the half forward line.

You can only go on what you've seen and I think you've done a pretty good job there, can't please everyone, pretty GG heavy though
