Personally I hope it's not Phillips, I think his coaching record was flattered by the side he inherited, flag in year 1 then a downward spiral every year after.

Tiller could be a good option, untried at senior level, but in all reality, who is a proven league coach that is available?
Some have suggested Bluey Peters, not sure if that would be a good thing or not, Laird seems to be the exception in respect to good ressies coaches not making good league coaches.

merged bayman's thread "who will take over at prospect" with MAL"S "who will coach north in 2009"

2 B PHILLIPS....... why not he is a NA boy and a premiership coach
3 B PETERS.......reserves coach and a very popular personality at the club, but never played League footy
4 R JAMES........unknown quantity but would be worth a punt
5 D TILLER........a very strong tip that he is a wanted man to coach NA
6 J ROE............fantastic guy who is doing well at Gepps Cross, a smokey and worth a punt on
6 WEDGIE/PUNK ROOSTER/ROD ROOSTER/ROOSTER MARTY/DREBIN.....could share duties at the club all are great clubmen

Thats the names I have heard being bandied around.
Some from good sources some from others with no great confidence.

If the door is aJAR and a new coach is concieved I reckon David TILLER

The MAiL is that TILLER has rejected any offer to coach NA this year
The MAiL also suggests that BLUEY PETERS is very high on the menu

2 coaches better than 1!

Postby gillies8 » Thu Sep 11, 2008 1:18 pm

My mail is that Bones McDermott and Darryl Hart will join forces and apply for the Roosters job!
Both learnt a lot from their previous time in the job and would be well placed to lead the cocks.
Is Pagan an outsider for the job?

No, that would never work

The good people at the Roost surely want someone new who they can character assassinate, seeing they have allready used all their best Hart/Bone/Hart/Jars material!

YEAH G
But the people in the inner sanctum that tell me do.....

Bluey is a very popular person at the club
The reserves players really like the guy
I reckon it was Jars that brought Bluey to the club ?
The only prob if Bluey got the gig might be the ability of the NAFC to recruit players for a low profile coach

Perhaps the dual coach could be referred to as "Napoleon".

As in, Napoleon Bone-N-Hart...

Wedgie knows all the ins and outs at Norwood :D so why shouldn't Mal be the same with North?
