Q. Graham invited to mail medal??? Gee the Umps got that wrong. Thought Shimmin would got close to winning for sure.

He trained last night and is fine, or is he??? Rested him as a precaution on Saturday, given the great start to the game. Like all ankles Im sure itll take a few weeks to become 100% again, but knowing the bloodnutted bombshell, whom may i add reminds me of one Dermot Bereton, will plough through it like a hot knife through a lambs tail!!

He'll be back at some stage this season, not sure when at this stage. Import has qualified for B's also. he'll kick 10 this week and Lampard "The Joker" will kick 8.

have suggested the start of the year as i could see some clubs hosting the final but never paying!
that way even if only 2 or 3 clubs host the gf,others benefit.

What if you get a S##t of day on GF day and Hamley and Virginia are playing off in both senior grades, you wouldnt get a 100 blokes there and the host club would be in debt????????? :? HOWEVER Jumbo, maybe we should hold it at Lochiel that oughta get the numbers up!

Grand Final takings for the club you ask - I don't know exactly but if it is better than what can be gained from a prelim final then it is a HUGE windfall for the hosting club. And considerably better than any home game with gate takings. MC I reckon you could confirm that quite easily

As I said a few days ago - what clubs in APFL have the newest and best clubrooms? 3 of the 4 are the ONLY clubs to host grand finals for as long as I can remember.

Can other clubs do it better or as well - I say yes - HB did a great job on Saturday - if they had more opportunity to host finals maybe the catering issue would not have appeared - HB has the best football viewing facility in the league. I bet Mallala had problems in the early days hosting grand finals - ask Ron Tucker - he was probably still playing U17s way back then, Balak the same, back when loud mouth Guy had a squeaky voice I bet they had teething problems :) - but now they have no excuses to get it even slightly wrong.

A comment up the page - "I have been playing GFs against Balak at Balak for years" - does that not tell you something????? Stop taking this crap and the BS about "we can beat them anywhere" - stand up for equity in the APFL.

There are still 4 1/2 clubs copping an annual shafting - more than enough to demand and vote for changes. The 1/2 being the token United offering.

And you're right its like flogging a dead horse - but time to change, time to put away the KY, time for an even playing field and time for every club to get the opportunity to make some serious cash.

Typical - would you be one of the 100 - or would it be a bit far for you to travel to support the league?

You've lost it Jumbo. Virginia's facilities are better are they. You've lost it big man!
Jumbo's business is crash landing quickly. Your loosing more and more credibility each time you keep ranting and raving on this issue Jumbo. I think most blokes are sick of hearing your whinging mate. Talk footy, like the finals matches and mail medal for something different. Your issue is relevant to the entire football community so start a blog on another topic so everyone can rip shreds of ya.

Listen DS - sorry SD - I'll talk about whatever I like thanks - I don't need your permission or give a rats about your continual pro-Mallala opinion. As proven 2 pages back - you will always support the current regime because it feathers your nest.

Listen you sheep - do you just blindly follow without question no matter what is happening to you OR are you one of the clubs lucky enough to hold a grand final? Either way I don't really care - I will continue on the subject if I wish since it is APFL related.

This is a forum for people to air their views - I don't recall telling you to shut up - you can say whatever you like pal.

If,as a result I get people to think about how this league is run then thats a good thing IMHO - the main objectors will be those who currently are in a very comfortable place thanks to the exclusivity of grand finals. I susect this is where you sit??

By the way - interesting post  - why did you even bother?

A serious flu going through a club this time of year can be devastating. Any big names their DB?

Other than Broady (who missed Sunday's match through illness), Mansfield, Sobey and McArdle. Heard Schulz was crook, but turns out he just has AIDS.

The good news is you can only get AIDS once!

Jumbo, son, you have had a fair crack at it and there are those that agree and those who don't, but your wheelbarrow has run out of momentum on here, mate.

Fly the flag, yes, but i reckon your just throwing your good arguments away on some of these canuckle-heads, there is a fair chance some of them are winding you up. Perhaps the next League AGM would be the next forum to throw this debate into.

Incidently, on the "www.football-online.com.au" does Ned and Youngy get anything for player of the year? wouldn't expect a new "Kia Cerato" sitting in their driveways, but maybe a plaque or something, any guesses?

I dont think they do Rooster, just the satisfaction of knowing they won, i dont really know why they put that up there it just gives away who wins the B&F for each club,
