Bye Bye balak ......... That is music to my ears especially after putting up with there antics in the last minor round game .I hope steve guy has stocked up on his tissues.
If longies can get up this week against the eagles they are a big chance against the magpies. Bollocks to the home ground advantage, as early in the year we knocked them off on thier own dung heap.Mallala use the ball well in close but if you put decent pressure on there midfield thats where the game can be won.Noticed in past results they haven't been strong finishers against the other top three sides. One would suggest they lead well from the front.. I wish everyone would stop waffling on about where the grand final is played. I have been playing in the apfl for 14 years and have had to play balak in numerous home gf's it's just theway the cookie crumbles. The us against them attitude of tg4u represents the rams all the way through ,no offence bloke but haven't you learnt .Virginia have struggled for a home for years and when you finally find one ,still there are complaints. If your not happy with the apfl , Where are you gonna go next? The main thing the apfl needs to brush up on is there poor standard of umpiring.TERRIBLE

Certainly not a Hamley fan (especially after how cocky they all were a few years back before they ran out of money) but must say i would like to see there B's go all the way this year. Correct me if i'm wrong but it doesn't look to me like they have stacked but are just a group of genuine good b-graders.

Yes it was a good win Woofa. Space did a great job of firing them up and they responded well, especially the players he singled out. I can assure you there is no stacking. But there are a few who are good enough and I would like to see step up next year. A few are good mates with each other and some new to the club and simply wanted to play together for a year in the reserves, despite being potential or certain A Graders.

Come on Woofa....How cocky they "All" were. Yeah some were really cocky, that happens when sides are going well and with confidence, but we were not "all" cocky.

just came up with this idea...what if the club to host the gf had to pay a fee of $5-10,000
payable at the start of the year PRIOR to the gf being played
this could be split directly to other clubs?
have suggested the start of the year as i could see some clubs hosting the final but never paying!
that way even if only 2 or 3 clubs host the gf,others benefit.

No way! I dont think having to pay to host a GF is anywhere near the answer. 5-10K, thats a broad range there festy, 100% difference. Someone has to host it and I don't think that it should be played at anywhere bar the best venues!

just trying to suggest somewhere in between!
im not lucky enough to know what clubs make from the gf
looking at TG4U posts i thought it must've been 40-50k in profit

i agree that the finals should only be played at the best venues.

Like you festy I am not lucky enough either to know what clubs make, but I do know that the association gets all revenue for the gate takings. The only advantage in hosting a GF is the bar and canteen takings, which should be a reasonable amount (if all the illegal grog was stopped) but in reality I think it may only be slightly more profitable than a normal home & away match. Remember the home club keeps the gate takings on a normal match. With that said the GF should still always be played on the best ground(s) available as a showcase for our great league.

fair point.
except for games involving virginia!
virginia home crowds would be 1/4-1/2 of the league avg
virginia away games would be 1/2-3/4 of the league avg

Seems a few of the boys at the Water Tower have been struck down by with a cold. Maybe Broady has passed around his cold during a few victory hugs and kisses after Sunday's match?

Wasn't really the players but more so some of the spectators. After being pumped for so long, some of them could've had a bit more humility when you started winning. Not saying all clubs are better in this area but i remember we kicked 50 goals against you guys during your lowest period & we didn't rub it in. I'm being a bit precious but little things like that stick with people i guess & prob the reason why i wasn't too fussed that you were down the bottom again so quickly. Look, its really not a major issue with me Francis & I certainly don't want to see you guys fold & leave the league, thats for sure. Good luck in the magoos!

A serious flu going through a club this time of year can be devastating. Any big names their DB?

Other than Broady (who missed Sunday's match through illness), Mansfield, Sobey and McArdle. Heard Schulz was crook, but turns out he just has AIDS.

No chance of us folding Woofa. Too many good young players and locals, just need more quality recruits and imports to back them up. We will invest wisely.

I understand what you mean. I have a few memories of club supporters from the last couple of years and I am ready for revenge when we start winning again!

Some money from hosting a grand final (at any ground) would be handy he he he

You've lost it Jumbo. Virginia's facilities are better are they. You've lost it big man!
Jumbo's business is crash landing quickly. Your loosing more and more credibility each time you keep ranting and raving on this issue Jumbo. I think most blokes are sick of hearing your whinging mate. Talk footy, like the finals matches and mail medal for something different. Your issue is relevant to the entire football community so start a blog on another topic so everyone can rip shreds of ya.
