I'm thinking about just heading over to the club to watch this on Saturday instead of going to Richmond to watch the Div 3 GF, mightn't hurt to have a look at GG & Greenacres six months before seeing them in Div 4...

Despite the obvious disappointment of getting knocked out of the finals, there have been some cracker games throughout the year from a spectator point of view. Here are four that come to mind:

1. The drawn elimination final against Blackfriars, it had everything and kept everyone on edge for the whole last quarter and extra time periods.
2. The round 1 game vs GG at home, what a shoot-out, Scudds was brilliant,we were very underdone but toiled extremely hard to go down by 6 points, it was a great game to watch.
3. The 1st semi final vs Greenies, we were 8 points up with about 7 minutes to go, Greenies just kept at it at eventually won by 12 points, it was a great battle all the way to the end.
4. The game against Blackfriars at St. Dominic's was another great battle, both teams had their chances, it was another high scoring free-flowing game, the Hounds won by 10 points but nevertheless it was a great game to watch.

Does anyone else have any games that spring to mind or have any comments on the games I mentioned.

in teh b grade for us, the last 2 games vs plympton have been crackers... admittedly we werent at out best, well below (which for some reason we seem to be against them) wether it be becuase of the pressure they put on us etc, and the fact they have played well..

we were down by 4 goals at 3/4 time in one and came back to win by a goal.... and in teh finals they won by 2 goals i think, close all day but they just wanted it more.. they are a real good unit

our best..

1st round, being 8 goals down at farmers with no salisbury (who incidentally came 3rd in the div 5 medal i believe, as predicted :P) and getting up by about 2-3 goals

2nd round, kicking 7-0 in the first 1/4 v rosewater

2nd round, holding greenacres goaless for 30 minutes till a goal after the siren 3rd 1/4 at st marys

2nd round, being 10 goals up v farmers in what was termed at the time as the battle for relegation, but upsets after this game changed all that..thx hounds, those losses screwed us bad!! :( :P

1st round, a great comeback in 3rd quarter v bos in the first rd when we got to only 3 goals down but parrish was a star and kicked 14 goals and killed us off

2nd round, first 50 minutes v smithfield at smithfield when we had a 5 goal lead and had almost absorbed all smithfield could throw at us

not many real highlights there but its hard when you only win 4 games..

Trying my very best mate.
Its more anxious then anything.
I love the feeling of unknown that a big game brings.
The siren goes and the ball is thrown up and for the next two hours no one knows what pieces of team and individual brilliance will occur. All part of the beauty of football.
